Dimapur Airport (IATA : DMU, ICAO : VEMR) is the only civil airport in Nagaland. Three active airlines are servicing to and from Dimapur Airport: Air India, IndiGo and Alliance Air. About Dimapur

Covering an area of 927 sq km and having a population close to four lakhs, Dimapur is the largest city in Nagaland. The word Dimapur is a variant of Dimasa: 'Di' stands for 'water,' 'ma' for 'big,' and 'pur' for 'city.' The Dhansiri River runs through Dimapur. Raisen Fort
