Mysore Airport (IATA: MYQ) is located near the village of Mandakalli, 10-12 km south of Mysore city. It is also called Mandakalli Airport and is operated by the Airports Authority of India (AAI).

The airport is small but has excellent infrastructure. The present terminal of the airport was built in 2010 and is fully functional for domestic flights.

Mysore Airport’s passenger terminal stretches across 3,250 sq m. It can handle about 200 passengers at a time. The airport operates daily flights to seven destinations: Bangalore, Hubli, Goa, Hyderabad, Chennai, Kochi, and Mangalore. Tourists can take a taxi or public transport to the airport. Plans are afoot to expand the airport’s functionality. It has a single runway, which is being lengthened to allow jet aircraft to land.

Bhopal’s Raja Bhoj Airport (IATA: BHO) is operated by the Airports Authority of India (AAI). It is located in the Gandhi Nagar area of the city. The airport is named after the Paramara king, Raja Bhoj.

Raja Bhoj Airport is at a distance of 15 km from the city centre. A new integrated terminal was added to the airport in 2011. Domestic flights to Mumbai, New Delhi, Pune, Hyderabad, Bangalore, and other major cities operate regularly from the airport.
