About Indore Airport

Indore Airport, also known as Devi Ahilyabai Holkar International Airport (IATA: IDR), was established in 1950. The airport is named after the Queen of the Holkar Dynasty. It is situated 8 km west of the city centre and serves Indore and its neighbouring areas like Ujjain, Khandwa and Ratlam.

This airport has one runway that facilitates night landing. The new terminal building was inaugurated in 2012, and is furnished with high-tech baggage handling systems, modern escalators, x-ray machines, CCTVs, and 10+ check-in points. It is being further developed to handle international flights and attract more traffic. The facilities at the airport include ATM services, free Wi-Fi, charging points, a passenger lounge, shopping stalls, and food courts.
