I'm courteous to hotel staff and receptionist all the time and usually we do not expect a great service for a value for money/budget hotels. Same is the case with Hotel Gujarat in Nagpur. I had cold so I told the staff for some hot drinking water. Since the water was too hot I would prefer to mix cold water as per the tolerance of my tongue. Now there is only one thermal bottle given to every room - be it normal water, chilled or hot. So I requested for a normal water bottle in in plastic so I can conveniently mix well and have water at a temperature which suits me. The waiter first argued why do you need normal water when you have asked for hot water, I tried to explain and the conversation went on for 5-7 minutes, finally him agreeing to get normal water right away. I waited for 5, 10, 15, 20 then after 25 minutes of waiting I called 9 to speak to the receptionist. The receptionist first told me the guy went home and is off duty now so they don't have anyone to send water. I offered to come to the reception then instead of saying yes/no to my request he explaned as the guy who got hot water, I tried making him understand for 3-4 minutes and finally he agreed after 40 minutes of arrival of hot water. Now my second wait starts for normal temperature water and more 20 minutes of waiting makes me call the reception again. I'm told the guy is coming with normal water to my room. Now a new guy comes into my room asking why do I want normal water when I have hot water to drink, the cycle repeats itself and then finally after 10 minutes of wait, my normal temperature water arrives. Why so much fuss about RO water?

A nice business hotel. Serves good vegetarian food. Close to railway station and the msrtc bus stop. Also hardly 15 mins from airport. A good value for money option. Ask for outer rooms as they are bigger and more comfortable. Inner rooms are a bit crampy

Due to a problem with a booking we (family of 4) had to find a hotel at short notice at night. Phone call to Hotel Gujrat informed us that the cost for two rooms would be total of ₹ 5000 (one room would be ₹ 4000/night). When we landed a Mr Dilip Lohe was at the desk. Suddenly one room had disappeared in a few minutes and we were charged ₹ 4500 for one room in cash. No receipts provided. Late at night and with children, we had no options and this was totally exploited. Very unscrupulous - avoid this hotel at all cost
