I requested for early breakfast (complementary) and got butter toast and tea at 7 am. Food quality is good. Location is excellent. Room and toilet is clean. AC is not working but since the ambient temperature is low it doesn't matter. Overall experience is very good.

Good hotel in an excellent location. Rooms are very basic but for the price and close proximity to the Taj Mahal its fine. Next to a mostly pedestrian street so a bit quieter with the horns. Staff are nice and very helpful.

first of all, this location is a very close walking distance to the taj mahal. so, if you want to get there at 6 am to get in line (i recommend you do this) it’s easy to arrange from this location. however, the rooms are very dirty, even by indian standards. ours had stray hairs and dirt and stains in the sheets, there were several canisters of water just in the room with dirt and bugs floating in them for no apparent reason, and the bathroom was very difficult to manage. they also give you very little toilet tissue — i understand that local indians don’t tend to need toilet tissue, but if you’re a hotel you are catering to foreigners as well — understand that we in fact use toilet tissue. the food in the hotel was not good at all. we ordered a thali, and the naan came out doughy/undercooked, and two of the curries were like warm as if they had been left out for several hours (a prime candidate for food borne illness). also, the hotel advertises the rooftop where you can look at the taj mahal from the hotel, but the rooftop is locked off (apparently due to their monkey issues) so you can’t go up there. there are also no views from the rooms themselves, as the windows face the hotel’s courtyard. This is all fine, except that the location advertises taj mahal views (which you do not get in any way).
