Kothi Pushkar

We stayed here for one night and wished we had longer. The hotel is situated centrally but set back with a sheltered courtyard and cafe. The room was cool and spacious, beds were clean and comfortable. Break fast was tasty. Staff ( particularly Dharminder) were exceptionally kind and helpful.

I think the reviews praising this hotel and its manager (Dharmendra) are fake or paid. Room amenities are lacking - The rooms do not have even the basic amenities. No room service. Not even a phone in the room to contact for water. No fridge. No slippers. Location is pathetic - It is on such a narrow street that you car will barely pass through. Reversing is a nightmare. There are hawkers and small shops lining both sides of the street and they jump at you to sell their wares. In the evenings, they light some foul smelling fire whose smoke is definitely toxic. Service is crude wearing the garb of pretentious respect - The manager (Dharmendra) asked us to move out of the room we checked into, and into another of their rooms. Their reason was moderately justifiable - new furniture had to be moved in. But his attitude was unforgivable - he was not at all apologetic. He was almost demanding that we move and do so quickly because his trucks were waiting. Is this how a guest expects to be treated on a relaxing vacation? By the way, meanwhile, he was almost bending over backwards for the foreign tourists. Mismanagement - they offered us a choice between two rooms. We chose the quieter and more open one because we went there to relax. After a day, they asked us to move into the other room saying that they had to move furniture into the room we chose. Why then, did they offer us the room in the first place? Why didn't they know when furniture was supposed to come in? Heights of mismanagement by an arrogant and pretentious manager (Mr. Dharmendra). The 2 stars I have given this place are for the Nutmeg Cafe which is nice, quaint, and pleasant. If you are not a foreigner, do not do yourself the disservice of staying at this place.
