This hotel reminds me of hotels in old movies or hotels in NYC. There is a door man waiting for us and open the door and take our luggage. There is a man right in front of elevator taking care of guests who need it. The room key is actually a key and open the door with it. Those people and Front desk, everyone works there are so friendly and kind. Great location, Wonderful service, bed is big, there is a good size of bathtub, those are great. But, there are some that need work. 1. Some lights didn’t work 2. Stopper for bathtub wasn’t there so I have to call house keeping to bring it 3. We are 2 people but there are only 1 each of shampoo, conditioner and body wash that super tiny and it wasn’t enough for a person who has long hair like us. 4. Keurig was not plugged in and couldn’t find the outlet, so I had to call house keeping again for help. He had to move TV stand to plug in. 5. House keeping is coming like 9am and those knock the doors were a little noisy. So I have to take 1 star off from this review. But I probably stay here again because this hotel is just so beautiful.

Overall our experience at this hotel is nice, though there were a few things happened that were not so satisfying: Room: there’s a lot of dust and white fur (like it’s from a dog?) all over the floor, not sure where they came from. Housekeeping: our Gucci paper bag that contained receipts, a shoe box and some additional accessories was taken without notice, had to call the front desk to retrieve that. Service: was charged an additional fee after we checked out (also w/o notice), called to ask what it was for and the lady said we toke drinks from the food bar, which we didn’t. Overall, spacious room and really kind people but these 3 things we listed out seem a bit inappropriate.

So rare these days to find service with sincerity. That's what one finds at The Eliot Hotel in Boston's back bay. The location is the best; right in the center of all that Boston's best neighborhood has to offer. But it's coming back to the property, where the staff shows hotel guests that they really care about your stay. Every single interaction, from the doorman to the front desk is met with kindness and a willingness to be helpful. The rooms are comfortable and quiet, and the European vibe here adds to the atmosphere of staying in a historic upscale building in Boston.

Will stay here again I'm sure. Very luxurious and the staff are all extremely friendly and professional. Check in and out were a breeze. We should have inspected room at check-in though and not waited until late evening, because the deadbolt would not lock. A kind staff person gave us a different (and larger) room which was wonderful. He did, however, promise us a discount on the room because of the inconvenience as well as a complimentary bottle of wine. We waited quite a while but he never came back so we called and cancelled that gift as we wanted to get to sleep. Then at check out the promised discount was not there, so we just let it go. Valet parking was wonderful - no wait at all for the car. No restaurant for breakfast on Sunday and the coffee pot in the room was broken. But they gave us room service coffee on the house instead, which was lovely.
