My family and I recently had the pleasure of staying at The Himalayan Living Whistling Pines in Mukteshwar for two days, and it was truly an enchanting experience. The location exudes peace, offering breathtaking views from every window that left us in awe. Umesh Ji, the caretaker, deserves special commendation for his exceptional hospitality. His humility and politeness added a personal touch to our stay, making us feel truly welcome. The delicious and budget-friendly food further enhanced our satisfaction, proving that quality need not come at a hefty price. The entire staff at The Himalayan Living Whistling Pines is a testament to genuine kindness and professionalism. The staff service is great and the food is also amazing. The location is fine and the rooms are actually overpriced. At the same rate you can get much better rooms in Mukteshwar. However the only reason I have given this property 2 stars is because of the behavior of the owner. Let me elaborate: I visited this place with my family in the last week of April. Everything was going fine and the service of the staff was great. Come dinner time, we ordered a few snacks which the staff served is in our room. When we ordered the main course the staff came to us and informed us that they cannot serve us the main course as the friends of the owner were staying in that property and they would complain to the owner, as according to the rules of the owner they could not serve us the main course in the room. Regarding this we talked to the owner and requested him to please serve the main course in our room as my father was not feeling well and he had aching pains in his legs due to which he was not able to walk down to the common hall. To this the owner replied that this is not possible as he was concerned that we would mess up his room and leave it in a dirty condition. As my father was in pain and was not well enough to go down to their common hall he told the owner that if that is the case and he could not serve us the main course in the room despite having served all the snacks in the room, we requested him to please cancel our order for the main course. To which the absolutely arrogant owner replied that he would not cancel the order now and whether or not we would eat the food they would still charge us for that. Due to his absolutely arrogant behavior my father who was already not feeling well had to spend that night without having any food. Also, there is completely no logic in serving the snacks in a guest's room and not the main course. If we needed to, we could have made a mess while eating the snacks as well but that was not our intention in staying at the property. It is not like our sole intention was to mess up his room and vandalize it. This is the behavior of animals and not humans. DO NOT VISIT THIS PLACE AS YOU WILL BE TREATED LIKE YOU OWE THEM SOMETHING. NO GUEST SHOULD BE TREATED IN SUCH A WAY!!!! ALSO, THE REMAINING 2 REVIEWS GIVEN FOR THIS PLACE ARE ACTUALLY THE OWNER'S FRIENDS WHO WERE SUPPOSEDLY GOING TO COMPLAIN ABOUT US.
