Stayed at the Shalimar for 10 nights and had a great experience at the hotel. Everything was perfect from the spacious room which was very well maintained and the staff were extremely hospitable. The location is perfect as well giving convenient links within South Bombay Will definitely stay there again and highly recommend for anyone wishing to stay on the kemps corner area.

The hotel is very conveniently located in South Mumbai with easy access to tourist attractions, business district and a wide variety of restaurants. The staff are very courteous and helpful and respond promptly to any queries. The main restaurant was shut for renovation however the rooftop restaurant Cafe Calma and the bar Maikada offer food options as well as via room service. In addition there is an in house bakery, Deli and Gelato outlet so lot of options.The hotel is located in a residential area with plenty of independent shops nearby. Was reassured by the experience on this visit which was a repeat stay and would recommend this hotel as good value for money

The receptionist displayed unfriendly behavior with rudeness, and the overall service fell short. The food quality was subpar, and I struggle to find any positive aspects about this place. Considering the price, it's advisable to opt for more reputable hotels rather than this purported 4-star establishment.

I called the Shalimar Hotel Staff at the last minute. They gladly accommodated an impromptu business trip to Mumbai after New Year posed lodging challenges, despite hosting families attending weddings from the U.S. and Germany. I had the privilege of staying in the Jefferson Suite. The furniture, posters of US Presidents, preamble all resemble those commonly found in Washington D.C. hotels. While their restaurants were undergoing major renovations, room service and roof top café breakfasts were simply awesome. The food, desserts, drinks are some of Mumbai’s best. Rohit (room attendant) ensured the room was immaculate with plenty of complimentary bottled water. Both air conditioners were operational the entire week with 90 degrees Fahrenheit temperatures outside. Especially noteworthy, is the professionalism of Mr. Nilesh Shinde who ensured the operational efficiency and accountability of every Staff member resulted in a positive experience. This was my 2nd stay in here. Service is excellent. Staff is very helpful, friendly and extremely honest. Just checked out yesterday. Had forgotten some jewelry twice in a rush. The cleaners wud clean the room and always keep my jewelry on a tissue on the bed. Staff at breakfast Ravi, Shankar and everyone else were always excellent. Stayed nearly 3 weeks this time. Keep up the good work. Only put better pillows pls. Thank u to Sachin and Hussain on the front desk fr always being helpful. Looking forward to many more great stays.
