Wonderful time with my family at Allegro Playacar. Resort is a nice size not too big. Rooms were basic but clean and nicely presented. Good overall selection with regards to the food offerings. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful with providing information about the local area. Not far from the center of Playa del Carmen walked in 15-20 min and you can walk along the beach front or through Playacar along the street, felt very safe. Beach area was beautiful( there was no seaweed when we visited) Good entertainment at night for the kids. Would definitely go back when in Playa del Carmen again.

Everything was great, everything was good. The food,the room,etc. My only doubt was the service when we arrived, the rooms were not prepared and they kept pushing the time of when they would be ready. Besides from that overall everything else was a great experience. Especially the chef, Jorge Ordóñez, his food was absolutely delicious, he was very considerate about my wife's gluten allergy. He gave her many different options, and each one of them she enjoyed very much. One of the waiters, Humberto, was amazing. He had an amazing sense of humor, made us feel very welcomed, and had the most amazing service. I would highly recommend this place.

Great experience, great facility and the only resort with the clear view from the pool to the Caribbean sea. lots of animals around. workers are hard-working, nice and polite. don’t expect a grand reception area like all the other resorts, but this small resort is well worth it. Mexican restaurant was delicious with great service. edit: wanted to give a shoutout to Johnny, Luis and Rene from the animators group; they are awesome and love their job, we enjoyed their entertainment and enthusiasm!

We went here for a family vacation/ reunion and had an amazing time! The staff are incredibly attentive and make efforts to go above and beyond to ensure every detail of your stay is exceptional! The members club staff go above and beyond anything I've ever experienced for service here in the states! You defined won't be disappointed if you book your stay with these amazing people! They get to know you while you're there and even greet you by name! Ask week they would say "hello miss Audra, how are you doing today?" It was amazing to feel like a party of the family!

Amazing experience at this hotel! Service from staff was impeccable. My friend and I kept mentioning how friendly everyone was, from the lobby staff, to the waiters and the cleaning personnel. The room was great, mostly because the hotels has mini bungalows that makes you feel like you rented a private villa. The food was delicious; at no point did we feel the need to eat out since we were eating so well 3 times per day on top of all the snacks made available. And of course, the drinks were delicious. The staff was available almost 24/7 to make any requested drink. Only downside to this experience was, if your room is near the front, the noise was from the nightly shows and the in-house club is nearly unbearable. I had to sleep with my headphones on some nights. But that also meant I could watch the show directly from my balcony. Overall, great experience. Would definitely recommend and do it again!
