In summary, we had an excellent experience here! We stayed in a private room. So why was it excellent? The welcome was warm and informative. They have this book with tips on your room, which was very useful. We booked all our trips through them and got fair rates. The breakfast was very delicious, they bake their own bread. WiFi was fast. The owners are very kind and helpful. All in all really recommend!

If you are staying here or at a nearby hostel this is a great place to grab an early coffee or breakfast. I had to catch an 8:30 bus to Chiang Rai, and my hostel’s coffee bar didn’t open until 8. I found Amaka and was able to get a quick latte to go, and still get to the bus station on time. The restaurant was full, and the breakfasts looked good. Unfortunately I didn’t have time to eat. The breakfast set at 129baht for a breakfast plate and coffee looked like a pretty good value compared to most places serving western-style breakfasts.

I have a really great experience in this hostel! All the staff was so nice, and recommend me some good places to go. You can also book tour with them, they have special prices! I take breakfast each morning, and it was a great way to start my journey! The room was clean, and everything is provided, it's almost like staying at a hotel!

Too many beds in a very small space. The space to store suitcases is not at all practical and also small. It's located under each bunk bed, so everyone has to make a mess to get their stuff out and put away. Because there are so many beds there is a lot of disorder at night, if you want to talk you have to go to the common areas, which is fair for everyone. During the morning I had breakfast and put on headphones to talk and they asked me to be silent. It doesn't make much sense since it was 10 am and I was in a common area. I believe that the times and places to speak are what make a person have responsibility, education and respect for the other.
