The location was great, staff helpful and the pool was great. Very quiet at night. Didn't mind the steps nor the small studio room which has a shower, sink and toilet in the same room as the bed. There was room for our 3 suitcases. Did not have warm or hot water for the three showers we took.

DO NOT stay at the Local Tribe De Mexico unless you want a more hostel-style experience. I booked this place for my family's Christmas vacation and I wish I could write a better review. The whole place is quite dilapidated and you have to walk up MANY stairs to get to most rooms. The whole property smells terrible but I think that's a lot of places in Mexico, due to poor infrastructure. We got upgraded to a room at the hotel portion but it was terribly LOUD. You can hear everything from the town and the all night music.

The place is great. The reason for my review is due to the place have no security in place. The day I got there the main gate fell off and we didn’t have a gate for the whole week I was there. Someone got into my place at night while I was sleeping. I didn’t close the door properly by accident but that is no excuse. The place should have some form of security. After talking to some locals, they told me that place have had some kind of history of people getting their belongings stolen from that place. All pointed at inside jobs. The workers know that there are not enough security cameras and know the place inside and out. Easy to tell their accomplices how to get in and out without been noticed. Really disappointed but fortunately nothing of real value got taken and no confrontation happened. I’d think twice before staying there again. Nice place but sadly not the experience I was hoping. The music from the beach bars was bumping all night long. Not a big deal but a couple of nights when I was hoping to have a quiet night didn’t happen. Just something to notice.

The good: location is perfect, far enough from the crazy nighttime crowds, but still a short walk to the center of town. Also, it is a VERY short distance to Playa de los Muertos, which is a smaller and more relaxed beach than the main Sayulita Beach. Restaurant staff at Si Señor were super (shout out to Ivan and Frank, amazing and friendly bartenders, who make killer margaritas!). Room itself was clean and well appointed. The not so good: it was 150 very steep stairs to get from the lobby to my room. The room description on the website mentions at the very bottom the number of “steps to the room” but it was in no way clear it would be an epic workout any time I wanted to climb to my room. I was able to make it, thankfully I was on my own, if my BF who is undergoing medical treatments or anyone older or with any disability were there, they would literally not make the climb. It meant not being able to return to the room except to sleep, and my legs are still recovering from the ordeal. This needs to be made much more clear before booking. The hotel itself is pretty, but the amenities are just lacking. The pool, as far as I could tell, never gets sunlight and doesn’t have towel service. The pool toilets were dirty and clogged. In addition, there are several parts of the property that smell of garbage very badly due to how they’re storing it. I saw a man complaining at the front desk as I was leaving that his room was uninhabitable because of the smell. Overall I will not return, but will likely find a place nearby next time to enjoy the location and my favorite bartenders.

The Wedding Of My Dreams! Look no further because this team, their services, and location was nothing but pure magic! I am so very thankful to Karen and her phenomenal team helping plan every single detail and executing the wedding of my dreams. Planning a wedding can be daunting...especially in a different country. But, Karen was so responsive, organized, and transparent with each step along the way. Her and her team break up the planning in sections so that it is less overwhelming and sends very clear details, instructions, and reminders. When I walked into the venue the day of the wedding I started crying as it was even more beautiful that I had imagined. I feel so blessed to have found Karen and her services! She is beautiful inside and out! Just trust me, brides...this is the place/service to use for your wedding.
