Private single room. Room smelled like mold/mildew and switched to a new one after a few nights. The new room smelled fine at first but then also smelled similarly after 2 nights. It was bearable for my short trip to hk but wouldn’t recommend if you’re living there for longer. Had lung irritation when I first moved in… Location is great. Staff are extremely nice and helpful.

It's much better than I expected! Stayed here for 5 nights and have nothing to complain about. Great value for the money, considering how expensive accommodations are in Hong Kong. Friendly owner, quiet and clean rooms, and located just outside Tsim Sha Tsui subway station. The elevator can take a bit long at times, but definitely not 20 or 30 minutes, as other reviewers have pointed out. I stayed in a private room with a private bathroom. They do offer shared room and shared bathroom options, too.

Strongly not recommended!! I was trying to checking in at 3pm, but they said they will be ready at 7pm because of the previous guest. That cannot be excuse and I cannot understand the situation at all.

I decided to write a Google review to my favourite hostel in Hong Kong, out of nostalgia now during coronavirus pandemic era. I hope Apple is still alive in these tough times. I stayed there several times during the best days of my decade of travels, up to 2 weeks, and I miss tiny tidy rooms and Filippino staff. "Mama" retired in 2018 I was told, I visited the hostel back in that year when I shortly resided in HK and they said sorry, she's senior and retired now. I just miss happy days in Hong Kong, and all the stays in that slightly better than average HK hostel. You could chat with the staff and they'd welcome you to have filippino food (aka rice & fish) with them. Glory to Hong Kong, and small bit of that glory is good old Apple hostel, who knows how they survive now the second year of abysmal Hong Kong lockdown. Thanx "Mama"
