The reviews and photos all look good but we had a standard room for three nights June 2023 and this was the worst experience ever. Air conditioner did not work so room was muggy. Back room looked like a greenhouse had a musty smell and. Window open in the ceiling so mosquitoes ate us alive and they loved the hot room. Also shower would either turn off or turn cold. I would never stay here again. Just beware as it is not refundable and you may find yourself stuck there and miserable. No on-site manager and when reached out to them they were no help said repairman would be there after we left! No offer of reimbursement either. I would never stay here again. Our friends stayed in a different room and no air conditioning there either. Ugh!

This is the second time that we stayed at this location. Aqa Palace is located directly behind the Bargello Museum and only a short walk to Piazza Delia Signoria, Ponte Vecchico and Santa Maria del Fiore. The first time we stayed we book an apartment (room #1). The apartment was very spacious with a full kitchen. We went to the central market and got some cheese and meats for some great Italian snacks. This would be perfect for a small family. The second time at this location we stayed in room number 5. This room is one of the most unique room that we have stayed in during our trips to Florence. We got lucky and were able to book this room for the last 5 days of our visit. This room is not for everyone. It is located on the roof of Aqa Palace with a private roof deck. There is an elevator that takes you to the fourth floor. There are three rooms on this level that share a common sitting area. The entry door to the room 5 is on this level along with the bathroom and shower. There is a stair up to the living area of this room. The room has a bed area, sitting area and an outdoor deck with unbelievable views of Palazzo Vecchio. We had cheese, meat and wine several nights while we watched the sunset. If you have trouble with stairs this room is not going to be something you would want to book. Otherwise, this room is so unique that if you can get reservations for this room I suggest that you book it. The level of service was over the top great! Kristen (sp) was so helpful with making our stay outstanding we cannot thank her enough.

My husband and I stayed at Aqa Palace for four nights and we can't recommend it highly enough. Every member of staff that we interacted with was so accommodating and kind. Our room was incredibly clean and comfortable, and the location is perfect for exploring Florence. We would stay here again without hesitation.

What a great location to enjoy a few relaxing days in Florence in the middle of the old town. Everything is very well-kept and stylishly furnished and very clean. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The stay in apartment no. 1 is unforgettable. The rooms are spacious and the high ceilings are very impressive. In the kitchen everything is available in good quality. The bathroom and shower were very clean and large, considering how cramped apartments in historical buildings can be. An excellent valet parking service is available.
