Highly inconsistent with rules and expectations of clients in residence. Allows abusive situations to occur to clients regularly by staff and other clients. "Director" Laury is so poorly placed in her position. She uses her authority like a weapon against anyone who has an opinion or stands on her way. Regardless of it being right, wrong, emotional or uncontrollable medical issue. Laury has been witnessed by client and staff screaming at clients, demeaning clients in front of others and having unnecessary personal conversations regarding clients. She exhibits highly discriminatory behavior without any signs of sympathy or empathy for clients or staff members. While there are other staff members that are exhibiting behaviors that are making the environment feel unsafe for clients.. It starts at the top.. Bad behavior is only encouraged by her lack of professionalism in her job The Navigation Center is much needed in our community. It has so much hope.. wrapped up in the building. There are staff members that work in that building with so much potential and the biggest hearts. I am a former manager of Target, Kohl's, McWhorters and A.J. Wright. And I've created and run many successful businesses... locally. I've reached out numerous times to discuss issues within this building.. and The Arches Inn shelter. I stayed at both. My room at Arches.. no bathroom facilities worked (sink, toilet or shower) for 2 weeks. I was kicked out for too high of medical issues..... I am still trying to figure that out-- considering I was sent there because of medical issues. I was already approved for a caregiver and close to getting into assisted living. I hope this helps.. someone or something. I still have friends at both locations. I'm currently in the hospital after a bad accident. Otherwise? I'm sleeping on a mattress outside on a corner in a rough area. Thank you for reading. 🙏❤️
