Except for the location, I would not book the hotel again. I was on the first floor and 2 of the 3 nights that I have slept there, it was very noisy as it is just above reception and the noise reduction is very bad!!!! Also in the hotel the above mentioned terrace does not give proper service. It is more as a viewing point, which you can also pay for at the galata tower. Asking for a taxi is receiving the answer, it is not far enough, walk 30 min going. What kind of answer is that when you are pregnant? Location of hotel good. Bed quality good Shower and bathroom good first floor: definitely a no go, if you would like to sleep English speakers: almost no proper English Water available at reception No, for me not a recommended place.

My wife and I absolutely loved our stay here! The room was gorgeous, the view was gorgeous, the rooftop patio was gorgeous... and to top everything off the staff were gorgeous XD All were so warm, friendly, and extremely helpful! They helped us with everything from finding gyms and booking tours, to how to use the subway system! :D And speaking of the subway, there's a station LITERALLY right across the street from the hotel! For anyone reading this, google maps doesn't actually show the station entrance that I'm referring too, it only shows the one up the hill (which is also very close!). But this one is RIGHT across, inside this building with the restaurant and patio. So ya, fantastic location, right around the corner from all the excitement and nightlife of Galata and Istikal, but without having to hear that chaos right under your window XD

What a lovely find. We found the staff at Art Nouveau Pera to all be very helpful even with the language difference. The hotel was very conveniently located to access all of the other sights of Istanbul. We could either walk, or walk to a bus/tram/funicula. We had a room on the 7th floor below the rooftop area. The view was lovely and we could easily walk up the stairs to sit and watch the view. It was lovely to order a couple of cold drinks after a long day of sightseeing and sit at the rooftop and watch the view. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom very adequate. A fridge, kettle, tea, coffee and water were supplied and refreshed every day. Security was good as the front door was locked outside hours and somebody was always available to let you in. The staff organised our taxi back to the airport and it was very reliable. We would highly recommend Art Nouveau Pera for your next stay in Istanbul.

Great value for money. The staff is really nice. The rooms are clean. The view from the rooftop is amazing. The rooms are big, confortable and well decorated. The showers are all marble. And the location of the hotel is perfect for visiting Istanbul. We never had to take the public transport. I’m from Istanbul, I live in Paris. This is the second time that I’ve been to this hotel, with my French friends.
