Room was nice with good view. Shower had good temperature and pressure but the showerhead ruined it by spraying water in two streams going in totally different directions. Breakfast was included but it was just toast and cereal - what annoyed me was that they had a proper full English breakfast but you had to pay for it separately. It felt like they lured me with the promise of included breakfast, and then were like oh of course we didn't mean proper breakfast, you have to pay for that. Staff were slow and not super friendly. Price was too much for what it was, wouldn't recommend.

Our room was very spacious and, although dated, well decorated. Most importantly, everything was very clean. All the staff we encountered (front desk and breakfast room) were super nice and helpful. Breakfast was alright. The rooms are not very sound proof in that we could hear everything in the corridors, cars outside and room above ours (but one stops noticing these things after a night or two). Price, however, is a bit ludicrous compared to similar hotels in other locations (the Oxbridge premium, I suppose....)

No elevator for heavy baggage. Rooms are cozy, clean and home feel though it's small. The only drawback is too noisy when neighbor's door is closed (often thought someone was opening my door). All in all, it's safe to stay there. Breakfast is good but it would be better off if more options are available. Location is excellent, just few minutes walk to central market. View is fantastic when looking out a big park and River Cam. Staff are friendly.

I was a bit worried after reading the reviews, but was pleasantly surprised. It was a nice, peaceful hotel and we enjoyed our stay. Rooms are quite basic but with character. Fantastic location. We were overlooking Jesus Green so we had a nice view. The staff were mostly polite and pleasant. The place does need a deep clean - dead bugs on the stairwell are a bit gross :( the decor is very dated, which sort of adds to the charm, but could do with some modernisation! Felt slightly ripped off with the car park too - they do need to be more upfront about hidden costs. All in all, it was a pleasant stay, but am glad we used Clubcard vouchers as I wouldn’t say it was worth full price.
