I stayed at the Astoria Hotel for two nights during my stay in Chișinău. A well-built hotel with great air-conditioning - needed during the heat wave which covered Chișinău during my stay. Pros: - Location isn’t bad - walkable from the center and a supermarket is down the street. - Nice rooms - clean, albeit a bit tight. Cons: - Get ready for breakfast drama! Do you want your coffee served with attitude and eye rolls? This is the hotel for you! A young couple (?) was working the sparse breakfast “buffet.” Both mornings silverware and napkins were lacking. Coffee was offered, but I wanted water / juice. Upon asking, I got an eye roll and 10 minutes later I got a small glass of water. There wasn’t much out for breakfast - maybe they were trying to save money? Apparently they think that you can eat breakfast without silverware. - Neighborhood dogs barked loudly during both nights, making it difficult to sleep.

Nice hotel, quite close to city center (10 minutes walk to the main street). Otherwise there isn’t anything else closer to it. parking was free and available. Food was good but ot was almost identical in both days and not too many options. The stuff was ok: some were very helpful and friendly other not even speaking English
