Strategic location. No deposits. No tourist tax. The check in and check out process is fast. Rooms are spacious and clean. Staff friendly Breakfast is simple but delicious. There is a refrigerator, hairdryer, prayer mat, iron and ironing board in the room

To be fair, 95% of Brunei’s hotel are all outdated. It may be good enough for locals but not at all for seasoned travellers. Especially based on its asking price compared to neighbouring countries. International speaking, the bedroom of this hotel is equivalent to at best, a 2 stars (Like many others). Overall, it was not a comfortable stay despite an excellent service. This is the second best area to stay in Brunei with a small eco mall nearby and a small foodie’s night market during weekends. You can walk to the main mosque in city center connected by a bridge for about 15 mins+ IF you are willing to walk through a cemetry forest. Otherwise walking on the expressway is dangerous as it has no proper pedestrian traffic and walkway. Private driver tour services are available. 🌿 HIGHLIGHTS ✯ Generous Breakfast Buffet The buffet is as a good as a lunch. Aside from basic breakfast and fruits, they offer snacks, porridge, noodles, fried rice, meat, vegetables and soup! My favourite is the crispy sugary puffs with a dash of condensed milk 😍. ✯ Free Airport Pickup & Drop Off Less than 10 minutes ride away from Airport. Thank you so much for this complimentary service which makes us feel remembered. Especially when my flights are so late at night. ✯ A Quiet Sleep There is nothing much to do in Brunei. I slept like a snorlax on most days.. 🌿 DOWNSIDE • Dirty Pool If not for the pool, I would have stayed in city center. However the pool was greenish and looks unsafe to swim in. After informing the reception, they did clean it the next day but it’s still dirty. I did not use the pool at all. • Housekeeping Standards Toilet bowl hole was filled with yellow stains and it smells. Please get a proper toilet brush. The housekeeping button lights up only if card was insert which means we need to be home. Staying for a week, my room was only cleaned once because of this. Unfortunately, it wasn’t even a proper cleaning. The staff only changed the towel and top up teas. Internationally, housekeeping is done when we are away. Hotels will sweep + mop + change bedsheet (once a week) + sanitise the desk & bedside tables. • Uncomfortable Bed & Pillows Pillow is so low quality that it is not acceptable, it is super flat and has stains. Bed is springy and hard to sleep on. Quilt cover has so much studs. As a single person, combining 2 pillows was not enough as a cushion. • Wardrobe There isn’t a lower shelf to place clothes. I did not end up using the wardrobe at all. • Old TV Non smart TV which can only watch local shows. • Dark Room Bedroom does not have ceiling lights, only floor & bedside lamps. It feels so gloomy… • Shower Water Floods The shower water easily floods outside the enclosed glassdoor. My floor mat was completely wet on the first day. The drainage seems to be stuck and clears so slowly.
