The people running this hotel are incompetent. I’ve stayed at 5 star hotels all over the world including Hyatt’s, Hilton’s, Trump international towers, and Four Season’s. I had many bad experiences leaving my hotel being confronted by bums right in my face and the “security” of the hotel doing nothing about it. That was just the tip of the iceberg. The worst part was the incompetency of the staff at the front desk, and then the management to boot. Instead of addressing my very real issues with rudeness, disrespect, and overall horrible customer service I was given the option to pay twice as much for a room I did not want. I stayed here for 14 nights and was treated as a nuisance the entire time. I’m super saddened with this experience. The maids were nicer than the people at the front desk. Barceló Mexico Reforma is in serious need of better training. Jesus and the other gorda working the desk on Sunday the 21st of January at 6:20 p.m. need to either start out cleaning bathrooms first, or take a comprehensive 2 week class on customer service and how to treat people. I feel so disrespected and disgusted with the way management handled my complaints and disregarded my genuine complaints. I was offering to pay my same rate to stay one more night and they basically offered me a slap in the face with a bottle of wine. I was also told the hotel is mainly for business guests only when I encountered many couples and families trying to enjoy their stay. The facilities are nice, the management and guest services need a better vetting process.

Fair room. Great location. AC did not work despite many calls for service to the front desk. Discount coupon for in-house Japanese restaurant was not honored. Welcome drink coupon for lobby bar was honored but NOT on the terms explained at check-in. Next time, we will stay in the Hyatt or other Western brands.

The service is horrible. Not deserving of a 5-star rating. Non-accommodative concierge. Not responsive via the phone from the hotel room even after an hour of calling periodically. The room wasn't cleaned everyday. The sink plumbing is clogged. The rooms were cold. The walls are thin that you could hear noises in between rooms and from outside. The staff are not helpful despite being in hospitality. The gym and pool is subpar. I would say worst experience staying at a 5-star hotel.

Absolutely disgusting. Booked a suite and they put me in room 215. First the front door doesn't close. Had to wait 30 mins for maintenance and then they took another 45 mins fixing it. The room is right above Sonora grill and the whole room smells of charcoal. The toilet was not cleaned. The shower head is mostly blocked up and shower drain not working. We booked the place for the pool and the pool is closed for maintenance. This is something that should have been told to us so we had the option to cancel. 3 people in the room and we get 2 towels and one bottle of water. I paid for a suite and premium services and I've had better service in a motel 6. The list can go on and on but you have been warned. Stay at your on peril.
