DO NOT BELIEVE THE BAD COMMENTS!!! We are here for the third day and everything is more than wonderful. When we came the house was warm and CLEAN! Very cozy! A wonderful place to relax. WE WILL BE BACK ASAP! Thanks to the hosts for everything!

Great, quiet location and free parking. Easy to access on arrival and didn’t cost much as a base and beats a tent. Shower was hot and the room tidy. Bed was fine enough after a long days walking. Small TV in awkward place. Noise from neighbours was loud however. Would use as a base and can only rate it on what I paid and nothing more

HORRIFIC EXPERIENCE!!! We booked to stay for 2 nights in this hostel 2 months in advance. Without even the courtesy to call, I received an automated email ON THE DAY of my stay saying that my booking had been cancelled. I'm originally from the midlands and at this point I was already in Scotland. It was absolutely absurd that my booking had been cancelled since I had even put down a £100 deposit at the time of my booking. I then had to bell multiple times to get through to the owner, who was quite arrogant and aggressive and didn't believe there was a need to apologise. We received no compensation and no alternate accommodation was provided. Disgusting customer service, would not recommend. We went down to the accommodation to speak directly to the owner, who was no where to be seen and had stopped answering my calls. There were also other customers complaining about unsafe rooms with mould on the walls. We were treated very unfairly considering we were given no prior notice, we were a big group of 8 and we had disabled children with us. VERY, VERY UNHAPPY.

We stayed in the log cabin last year, absolutely disgusting, broken hob, filthy and stank so had to clean everything. Broken light, broken decking tired and shabby furniture and decor, mould, washing machine full of mud and mould. Looks like a junk yard as you drive in. Had no contact with the hosts at all and still haven’t had a reply from our complaints a year on. Just don’t bother.

If I could give this place 0 stars, I would without hesitating. It started with not receiving our door code with our booking, then arriving to find no one to speak to about it. We called up the owner who insisted we hadn't read our email. It couldn't possibly be that we didn't get one. We got into the microlodge 7, which had a broken door and was situated in top of a steep ravine. The floor sloped on the inside at the same grade as the hill on the outside. The back was several INCHES lower than the front. Totally unsafe. There was also an old sheet on the bottom of single over double bunk bed, mattresses were plastic; both micro lodge yards were full of trash. The outside bbq was a camping stove on the ground in such disrepair it was unusable. The wooden picnic table was in such bad shape that when I sat on it, the bench bent and creaked like it might break! We went into the shared bathrooms, which smelled strongly of mold and were DISGUSTING. I camp regularly at national parks and in places without running water. I'm used to low key amenities. I'm hardly a primadonna but I noped out of this place. Sadly, when we got to the Loch Ness Hotel Drumnadrochit, the receptionist told us we were far from the first to arrive to them with a story like this one. Don't believe me? See the pictures!
