This place is just amazing, we stayed for a night here and I would definitely stay again If I come back to the west highlands. They guy who welcomed us was kind and he gave recommendations for dinner and showed us around in the hotel, the room is very cozy and spacious, and finally their is a bidet in the bathroom.

I liked the cabin. It is quite well made and has a rustic charm to it. The service had its ups and downs. We were greeted outside by the attendant but we never got an answer by mail beforehand after the payment went through regarding the BBQ or if we could purchase lunch for the next day. Breakfast was enough for us. A bit hard to reach on foot.

I really like the fresh orchid plants in different colours all around the lounge, in our bedroom room, Bonnie Prince Charlie Suite and even in the bathroom :). I thought they were artificial at a glance but they are real plants. It was a comfortable and relaxing stay, amazing views from the hotel and so peaceful up there. When we arrived, our request (due to my husband's allergies and I personally prefer the synthetic also) for synthetic bedding wasn't done so, I called Mark to explain and turned out whoever changed the bed to synthetic was done in a different room. Mark was very apologetic and got that sorted by the time we returned from dinner. There was an apology note from Rach and a box of chocolate which I thought was very kind and genuine. By the way, only one room, Bonnie Prince Charlie Suite is on the ground floor and the other 2 rooms are upstairs. In the useful information email from the hotel, it mentioned bread rolls as part of breakfast choices. We met one other couple in the lounge who were staying upstairs and they were curious whether we got bread rolls because they didn't get any and reminded us that it was mentioned in the email. We weren't that bothered about the bread rolls. Although he is correct, it says in the information email but not on the website so perhaps the information email template needs to be updated. Overall, recommend this hotel to others. Note that the uphill to the hotel as soon as you turn left by the big bear is a little bumpy so keep both hands on the wheels.

The grizzly bear hut is what we stayed in. It was very quaint and cute! It was also very warm upon arrival but it was nice after a chilly day. The bed was comfortable as well. Unfortunately, the wifi was pretty spotty so we weren’t able to use the TV. Also, for anyone considering staying here - make reservations for dinner!!!!!! Or be prepared to drive into Inverness. This has nothing to do the lodge or it’s people but we drove around for an hour before finally finding a place to get food. All the “recommended” places were booked full. The hut does have two burners and some cooking supplies under the sink, so you could also cook.

Such a beautiful spot to stop. It was all contactless checkin. The keys were ready for us when we arrived. The bed was so comfortable. The room smelled amazing. Everything was exceptionally clean. The window was open to let the warm summer air in and the view was beautiful of the forest and squirrel and birds. The breakfast is already in your room with a mini fridge. Lots of options. We enjoyed smoked salmon and croissants and cereal. This was our favorite spot we stayed on our Scotland tour.
