Great experience thus far! This is our first time staying at BEI in SF. We're here for one night for my husband's birthday. However, we're also working from the hotel - meaning we had to come in the morning and well before the regular check-in time. Knowing that it would be a long shot to get a room early morning, Steven was more than accommodating. He told us he would put in a rush with housekeeping to get us a room at 9am (within the hour of when we got there). While we waited, BEI had lots of setting and desk options to work from. The location in SF might not be the best but you'd never know with how modern and clean the hotel actually is inside. There were little details that truly made the service from Steven better than 5 stars, like giving us a keycard to use the bathrooms even before getting room access, accommodating with early check-in with no fuss (it genuinely seemed like he wanted to help), and walking over to us directly instead of giving us a call, remembering our names. It felt like true customer service. And on top of that, he upgraded our room for my husband's birthday. He definitely went out of his way to provide great customer service overall. I just told my husband that I'd def book this spot again! Thank you again, Steven!!

I had a wonderful stay at the Hotel Bei in San Francisco. The location is great, the rooms are clean and comfortable, and the staff are friendly and professional. I especially want to thank Yolanda, who works at the front desk, for her exceptional service. She was always smiling, courteous, and attentive to my needs. She helped me with directions, recommendations, and reservations. She made me feel welcome and valued as a guest. Yolanda is a true asset to the hotel and deserves a 5-star rating. Thank you, Yolanda, for making my trip memorable!

Okay - so probably would not recommend this hotel, but it certainly isn’t as bad as some of the reviews. We booked ages ago because of its location to BART and the Symphony Hall. Then, we read the reviews the day before we were going (I know - stupid!) We were rather nervous about staying there, but of course it was too late to cancel. The area is a tad sketchy, but not scary. We walked back from the symphony and there was not one homeless person on the street by the hotel. The rooms were sparse, somewhat clean and overall acceptable. There is no breakfast (even though I think they advertised one) and only 1 out of 4 elevators works… we waited 5 minutes for an open elevator. Had extra amenities fee??? Not sure what that charge was for… but I think it’s called “nickel and dime them”.

The place was easy to find. Parking was secure, a little expensive but there was no choice. There was security onsite for 24 hours. The staff were friendly especially the morning team. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable to sleep in. The city view was lovely at night. Close to Central library and within walking distance to one of the city tour bus (Hop-on /Hop-off). I lost my precious bracelet somewhere in the room. Too bad I noticed after checked out. Item was not found.

We stayed at the BEI this past weekend for an event at civic center plaza which was 2 blocks away. The location was perfect and the hotel was also perfect. The front desk was super helpful with anything we needed and the in and out parking was also so easy and simple. The rooms were very nice with very comfortable beds and the place was most importantly super quiet which is the most important thing for me. The Hotel rate was very reasnable and when we come back to SF we will be staying here again.
