Excellent & convenient location to the famous pub street in Siem Reap, only a few minutes walk away. Laundry service shop just few buildings away, US$1/kg for 8 hours service which is so handy. We booked the family room which is spacious and bed is comfortable. Lighting is a bit too dim everywhere in the room. Not sure how much effort is put into cleaning but the shower (slimy mouldy corners), bathtub (with stains), Venetian blinds (super dusty) could do with more cleaning. Feel like shampoo is exactly the same liquid as shower gel, just filled into separate bottles which is very drying on the skin and hair. If you are conscious about your hair and skin, better to get your own. Beware the glass shelving in bathroom has sharp corners, almost cut my scalp after getting up from trying to pick up things that fell in the corner. Toilet tissue is awkwardly fixated in the toilet, makes it very difficult to get it while sitting on the toilet seat. Although they do replace most of the amenities in the room, we’ve had to ask for new soap block which was not replaced at all (no other handwash provided) Our room had a balcony but it only had one chair and views of the alley between the adjacent building so was pointless having a balcony unless if you are a smoker. Hotel has no lift and no staff came to offer assistance to bring up our luggage.

Blanc Smith Residence is a nice, clean and conveniently located hotel. I stayed for 4 days in a Blanc Club Room with balcony and was very happy. + The hotel is located at the Hard Rock roundabout so you can walk across the river to Pub Street in about 5 minutes + Our room was located on the first floor (one level about the street level entrance). Note there is no elevator and you will need to use the stairs for all rooms + The hotel decor is relatively updated and clean + The hotel staff were friendly and helpful - There is parking in front of the hotel but unfortunately no walking path to enter the hotel. In the evenings when all the parking is full, you have to squeeze between the parked cars and the foliage near the entry.

- The host is good. - The location is good, close to the nightlife street, pub street, and many restaurants. - It is very noisy due to the chanting temple behind and live music every night at the Hard Rock Cafe. - Avoid rooms near the street as you won't be able to sleep peacefully due to the street noise. Also, the noise from the loud music at the Hard Rock Cafe across the street can be disturbing. - Try to get a room near the stairs (at the back of the building) on the 2nd floor to reduce noise from outside and from the floor above you. We stayed on the 1st floor and could hear all the noise from the 2nd floor. - Be aware that the receptionist may try to charge you for using towels and making them dirty. We went on a boat trip where the village had red dirt, and when we came back, we had to clean ourselves. After showering, there were some dirt stains on the towels, but they wanted to charge us extra for using their towels and dirtying them. - Our friend (in another room) claimed that their towels were missing and they were also being charged for it. - Make sure to count your towels and ensure that you don't use them to get dirty.
