Agnes and Michal were awesome during our stay in September, they made us feel very welcome, and they're personable and knowledgeable about the area. The rooms are very nicely decorated and comfortable. The breakfasts are delicious, and filling. York was our favorite part of our UK trip, and the Burton Stone Inn exceeded expectations. Tip if you're coming from outside the U.K. and don't have phone coverage on arrival - give your hosts a heads up by email a few days prior, for your check in time. 🙂

A surprisingly spacious room at a great price in peak season. Loved our stay and would return. Service was perfect as was the location. The bed was a little hard but that is personal preference and the walls were a little thin... But that's the hotel experience. Would recomend this lovely stay to annoy one in any profession. Additionally we were created with a map and an explanation of the city which was greatly appreciated and needed. Very hospitable and kind. Fab ! See you soon Burton Stone Inn.

Excellent stay. A friendly & helpful host ; Thanks to Micheal who helped us with Map & mini guide of York. Rooms were neat clean. Nice service. Walkable distance to shambles market , city centre etc. Free parking space available. Will surely stay again & recommend to friends as well.
