Our stay here this past December was quite enjoyable. The view was peaceful. The proximity to downtown, restaurants, and things to do, was also very good. Hotel accommodations were nice but basic, including a minifridge. We enjoyed the breakfast buffet daily. Nothing fancy, but included a plate of fresh fruit. We're not fluent Spanish speakers but the staff at the front desk did their best to assist us, whether it was providing an additional set of towels, recommending hot springs, or making reservations. Recommended improvements are adding lights in the pool to make it more welcoming and safe-looking in the evening and hot water for the bathroom faucet. Overall, it was a wonderful stay for relaxing and our day trips.

We got here in the middle of the night, after over 3 harrowing hours of driving through the jungles, mountains, fog & people milling about on the road in total darkness. The hotel is located with a very nice view of the volcano (everywhere else here has a nice view). There's greenery everywhere. There's a decent pool. The breakfast is buffet style with scramble eggs, ham, plate of fruits, coffee/tea, toast, juice, rice & beans, etc

We stayed for 2 nights at this hotel. It is located 20 minutes from the Arenal volcano and activities, and a 10-minute walk from Fortuna, allowing for evening dinners in town by foot. The reception and service are average, especially during breakfast, where the person never smiles. The breakfast is not good. The pancakes are probably homemade but prepared in advance, which makes them tough and parchment-like. Butter and jam are exposed outdoors. When breakfast is over, they put a sheet over the corner, possibly leaving food underneath. Cleanliness is not optimal. On the last day, I realized I had a huge ant nest with eggs in my shoe, which I hadn't worn during the 2-day stay, and next to it. They probably hadn't swept the room during cleaning. The hotel smells musty, and they use an AirWick WC-type fragrance to mask the odor. This is one of the worst hotels we've experienced in Costa Rica; we were glad to leave.

The hotel is set in beautiful, lusciously planted grounds. You have a view straight to the volcano. The very clean large twin rooms are old ranch style design. Beds are very comfortable. A little bit on the dark side due to colours used. TV, WiFi and lots of running hot water in the large shower room. We had a superb inclusive buffet breakfast. It's run by a very friendly extended family. Would stay here again.

Nice looking property with good internet in the rooms until about 7 PM. That was a big negative for service from me. The reason given? Get this. The room internet providers are different than the reception provider. Really? But fairly nice rooms. The breakfast dishes were presented in unwarmed aluminum pans which is a bit problematic if you like warm food. All for only $110. But hey, the AC worked great and the showers were hot and nice. Many better value properties not far away.
