Besides location, I feel there is nothing special. Is near to the night market and walking distance to the metro. However, I cannot understand why this hotel is a 4 star hotel. I will give it a low grade 3 star hotel. Pillow and bed sheets seems not clean, room have a musky smell. Size of rooms are small, furniture are old. Kettle seems dusty. Let's not forget that you are able to hear your neighbor talking. Adding to that, any usage of the toilet from any of your neighbor, you are alap able to hear the sound of water moving across the pipes. Had to be really tired to sleep for those light sleepers or get ready your ear plugs. Do note that this hotel should be build quite a while back, so toilet papers are not to be flushed down the toilet bowl. Breakfast, I believe it should be fair and polite that the hotel should highlight on their website or any booking sites that the breakfast is vegetarian. Not the most impressive breakfast I had taken, neither is it the worse. Enough to fill your hunger. The service staff is at least very polite and friendly.

Convenient location, especially if you’re going for a Taipei New Year’s Day concert. This is the type of hotel that you only go to sleep in, the walls are very thin and you will hear your neighbours getting busy at night. They use Japanese toilets which is a nice feature although the toilet doors do not lock, I still enjoyed my time, although I woke up at 4 am. See you again.

BEWARE ⚠️ Breakfast is Vegan and it is horrible. 👎🏻 Definitely not a 4 stars hotel by any stretch of the imagination. I would barely give it 2 stars. Pros: - Comfortable bed. - Pretty quiet at night. - Across the street from the last subway station on the green line. Cons: - Small and cramped room. 🤏🏻 - Dirty coffee mugs on the side of the electric kettle, probably used by the previous guests and never switched. - Japanese bathtubs and toilets installed in the rooms, which are dirty, uncomfortable and completely unnecessary. - No toiletries provided in the bathroom. - Very cold AC in the room and impossible to adjust, even if you reduce the temperature on the switch 🥶 - Clueless and indifferent staff. - Quantity over quality crowded breakfast, with pretty terrible tasting vegan food, they don't even have cows milk, only some horrible soy monstrosity. Worst and most expensive hotel that I have stayed so far in Taiwan, you DO NOT get your money's worth. 🚫🙅🏻‍♂️

The only good thing about this hotel is its proximity to Raohe night market and the metro. That's it. The room has a moldy smell and you can hear your neighbours talk plus every time they shower. Room size is inconsistent. We had 2 rooms and while one room size is decent (though still small for Taiwan standards), the other is so small I had to lift my medium size luggage over the bed because it can't fit through the gap between the bed and wall. The toilet bidet control is so far away from the toilet bowl itself. I'm 1.6m tall, and I had to get off the seat to reach it. The worst part is one has no choice but to use the bidet because you cannot flush toilet paper down the bowl. Ridiculous for a supposed 4 star hotel. It's at most a low grade 3 star to me. Totally wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. Update: reply by the hotel is also standard lousy textbook reply with no logic. How can they determine that i booked 2 different types of room just from the review alone? FYI, my booking was for 2 double rooms, but I got 2 rooms of different sizes.

Capital Hotel Songshan is the only choice as I booked it in the very last minute, and you will understand why after you visited. The location of the hotel is actually excellent, it's just 1 min walk away from Exit 2 of Songshan station. However there are couple of issues from the hotel. Say their toilet is inside your room, and only separated by a glass door. There is no privacy at all, and not comfortable even if you came with your family. And their bath is so tall and hard to get in. Although it's very safe in Taipei, but their should not print their room number on the card. If someone picked up your room card, basically he will know which hotel which room you stay and get in anything. The security awareness of the hotel is very low, and which may cause you in danger
