The room was absolutely different from what we expected! No windows, extra small place and they didn’t even change the towels- just put old still wet back on same place. Shampoo, shower gel- empty. If your weight is more than 70 kg you would have a possibility to move inside the room.

The hotel is located in the centre of Rome and is a great base to explore the city. The online check-in worked perfectly. Now for the "Double Room Comfort" aka "American Room": It's a nice spacious room with lots of storage space. The bed is very comfortable and the bathroom has a good size. However, I feel like the room needs a deep clean and some renovation. The headboard of the bed has many weird stains, the skirting boards are dirty, the TV cables could be nicer attached to the wall and the curtains are smelly as soon as you move them. In the bathroom, some of the plaster is coming off the ceiling. The shower and sink should be cleaned better. In addition, the doors / locks are very noisy and should be changed. Overall: Nice room, which hopefully will be updated soon by the owners.

Perfect place to stay in the center of Rome. Lovely rooms, perfect shower and very very clean. The owner was very pleasant and welcomes you with a smile. Nice area close to all the sightseeing. Totally recommend. We 'll back for you sure. Grazie Mille

The rooms look much more lavish in the pictures, no air conditioning just a broken fan that points at the roof. That really didn't help the situation. Windows open on a back alley/roof mess of an area, not a pleasant view or smell. If you leave the windows open the mosquitoes will join you. No good. Breakfast is something of a disappointment. Also I hope the city repairs the subway stop close to the hotel, because the other two are a distance away. Overall this place that is given such high reviews, is luck to have received a three star. The one upside nice night host.

This was the best place that we stayed on our Europe trip. When we were in Paris I saw so many people come out of small doors onto the street and inside these doors were really interesting courtyards or lobbies. I kept thinking I would love to stay in a more intimate and local-feeling place like that. When we got to Rome, this is exactly what Casa Heberart Sistina felt like. We rang the doorbell on the non-assuming street entry and we were greeted at the door after we gave our name. Our room was beautiful with a lot of character and it was nice to have a balcony to people watch as they walked to the Spanish Steps (the obelisk is visible from the guest house window). The location was perfect for us. When we were tired, we were able to come right back to the room for a nap. All of the buses we needed had stops within a 1-2 minute walk from the guest house.
