Castello Beach Hotel

Hotel recommendation score: 8-9/10. We give it 9 due to the hospitality and happiness that had been all around. Definitely the location of the place is very good - due to close proximity to one of the two most beautiful beaches on Praslin and airport. Hotel is flexible. We stayed there pre season (June) without full occupation. Therefore there was plenty of spaces beach, pool, restaurant. We had been allowed to extend *a little bit* our checkout time :) - I won’t spoil any details, but if there is an option, I’m pretty sure that the stuff would do anything to please your stay a little bit. I recommend to use Air Seyschelles instead of Ferry (CatCocos) due to easy extension of your holidays. In general - Seyschelles are worth. Please do have in mind that this is 4x much more expensive alternative (Aircraft vs Ferry). Food: Good breakfast, limited option, no open table but we never leave hungry. The staff take care of it. Dinner: also limited option but also very good, we tried only once. Hospitality: as per above. Pool: clean. Showers on the beach (warm water). Sea Beach - small but quiet. Depending on the season you are able to use it to sun bath - we were not able to. Upper beach / pool beach - very good. General state of the hotel: so… it’s colonial English-style state with hand(?) made wooden furniture (quite everything). Bungalow-style. A little bit 2000s state and you see it on every corner :). Fortunately - they built it well and with details so it’s not a ruin, but you see time elapse. Cons: Unfortunately - we had some miscommunication but the hotel rewards us with an upgrade: no questions ask. That’s 2022 approach. Hard truth, but they pull it up. Air Condition: Beacuse I know that staff is working on it I will only say that you can live without AC with open windows and making some air movement in the place. WiFi: this is an issue. If you don’t want to use WiFi or you are doing it occasionally that’s a really good place to retreat . Forget of working remotely from there, conference calls or smooth social medias scrolling without spare GSM/LTE prepaid card. Overall score: 7 for critics, 8 is fair but we are voting 9/10 because of not only the hospitality but the general awareness and making extra mile from the staff to make your stay more pleasant.

Wonderful stay in this beautiful area, you can hear the birds and the ocean. Good drinks and the food is delicious! The staff and the General Manager Michell was very friendly and they made our stay even better! I would come again and I just can recomend this Hotel!
