Centara Villas Phuket

Me and my fiancée have stayed here twice over the last 2 years and we definitely love it here. The location is great and just a 5-10 minute walk away from Karon beach. The beach itself is also beautiful with golden sand and some nice waves. The food here is amazing and we usually eat here for dinner every night we are staying. The pool is also great and there is a shuttle bus that takes you up and down the resort whenever you need. The last time we stayed here however there was one employee who wrecked the whole thing for us. His name was A. He was the employee who worked overnight and he cost us a ton of money and wrecked a huge part of our honeymoon. Our flight to leave Thailand was at 6am. So I called the desk where A was working at around 10pm the night prior to ask if he could book us a taxi or van around 3am because the airport was an hour away from the resort. He told me that that wasn't necessary and that I could just call him in the morning and he could get one there in a matter of minutes. I was skeptical of this but took his word for it as he reassured me it was no problem. Fast forward to the next morning. I call up in the morning and ask if he can get us a taxi and he says yes and that he will send the hotel shuttle down to pick us up from the room. So we get up to the lobby and he proceeds to start questioning me about if I had booked a taxi the night prior. I was seriously in disbelief because of how much he reassured me and even after I called him 20 minutes before we left out room to order one for us he still never did. After all that he tried to blame me for not ordering one ahead of time and was very cold towards me and my fiancee. So I told him he needs to order one ASAP as we have to fly international and now because of him we are 100% going to be late. So he finally calls one after I pay and check out and we wait out front for like 15-20 minutes. I look back and he was sleeping at the desk and I honestly didn't even know if a taxi was called. So I went back and woke him up and asked and he said yes there is one and then when I started walking away I could hear him call one and send one up. So I confronted him about this as at this point I was completely pissed off at the incompetence of this guy. And he admitted that he didn't call one earlier and that now it was gonna be another 15 minutes till it arrived. On top of that there was another couple who came up 20 minutes AFTER us, who asked A to call a taxi and their taxi arrived 15 minutes before ours somehow. I literally couldn't believe it. So me and my fiancee were late for out flight and actually couldn't make it as we had checked luggage. So we had to sit in the airport for 6 hours and pay an additional $1,100 for 2 more flights for ourselves all because of A. We have honestly questioned if we would even go back just because of this guy but the resort itself is beautiful and everyone else there has been amazing. So I do recommend this resort and I highly recommend if you go to never deal with A. This guy should be fired.
