Rooms are nice but quite dated. Incredibly view from the balcony. The rooms could be cleaned more thoroughly, there were lots of hairs from previous guests in the bathroom. Service personnel was very nice. Pool is amazing with a great view. I thought of deducting another star for the power cuts that happened very early in the morning multiple times. That means no AC which makes it impossible to stay asleep. And if you manage to fall asleep again, you'll be woken up by the lights automatically turning on when the power goes back on (please change this!).

I greatly enjoyed my stay at Karon Phunaka Resort. The rooms were kept clean, the staff was very kind and attentive, and the views from our room were absolutely breathtaking. The AC worked well, so our room was always at a nice temperature. The rooms are set into the hill, so the path to the reception is steep, but free buggys are always available to take you up and down the hill. The pool is also pretty, although it was usually a bit difficult to get a beach chair, as they filled up very quickly every day. The beach is not too far away, but it is downhill. The walk might be too strenuous for some. However, Karon Resort does have a free trolley service that goes down to the beach (hourly, first departing at 10, last at 5). The gym is also pretty good, with a nice view. The downside of this hotel is that all the rooms and facilities are a bit dated. Also, there arent a lot of vegetarian options on the dinner menu (basically just pizza and salad. If you're a vegetarian or vegan, I'd recommend going to Soul restaurant instead). Still, I'd definitely recommend this hotel if you're looking for a place to stay near Karon beach.

The hotel is good, rooms are big and very clean, the pool is nice. Some things seem to need more maintenance; our AC stopped working one night and we had to change rooms in the middle of the night, first to a room that was not as good as the one we’ve paid for, and then for another that was the same level. The team apologised by offering free breakfast for the following nights. Staff is overall super nice and polite, specially the golf cart drivers (who pick you up from rooms high above) and the reception staff. The breakfast could be better. My review is not only better because the breakfast staff was terrible. Their breakfast manager should probably not work in hospitality. Since we got the breakfast for free (hence the night we have to move rooms due to issues with A/C), we did not understand that we would have to pay for some of the coffees listed there. The other morning he approached us in a very aggressive way, accusing us while we showed him the receipt we got from reception. We said we had not understood those beverages were not included and then we proceed to paid straight away, but his attitude remained aggressive and rude. I would not go back for this reason. Overall it was all good.

The best hotel in Thailand We spent 5 days here. The location is a little bit high on the mountain, but no worry. They propose a small van to go and pick up at the beach. The staff they are very kind and always smile, never seen like them. The view with the beach and Buddha is magnificent and the pool was great. The room is big with a balcony to smoke. I recommend 100%! We will be back here next time
