not worth the money. good location and a nice looking room but those are the only positives i took from my stay unfortunately. the first room we were put in, we sat on the bed and a mouse ran across the floor from under the bed. the man at the reception moved us to our second room which was better but had marks and dirt across the room. also had to leave a £200 security deposit- which we did get back, but were not told about this prior to booking

I would say this hotel is a 3 star stay. Good location, high price for what you get, but it does the job. We stayed in two separate rooms. Both were very clean. The staff were very helpful and helped us out in a pinch. Be mindful bag storage is free until 1pm, £10 per hour after. I would stay here again if I needed to.

I was very nervous about staying here after reading the recent reviews. However, I have had a very pleasant experience at this hotel! My room was clean, and the staff was lovely and very helpful. I checked everything for bed bugs, but I haven't found any to my great relief! I would stay here again.

the only positive is the location, amazing if you are visiting for theatres. booked a single room and was upgraded to a twin room as a result i was asked to leave a good review. i wish i could leave a good review as staff were nice enough but my room was horrible. I will start off with the worst of it, which is the fact that when getting home from the hotel i am covered in itchy bites on my legs which resemble bed bug bites. my lock was broken so i got locked inside my room. couldn’t ring reception for help as no phone service in the rooms. had to bang on the door for help which resulted in my lock being changed. when changed it still was a nightmare to lock and unlock. wallpaper was peeling off the walls, mould in the bathroom, toilet hanging off the wall and the soap in the bathroom wouldn’t pump and kept falling off the wall. no air con or fan so room was muggy. I would say the extra money to stay in a better hotel is worth the expense.

Good - Rooms are very clean! Not so good - quick fixes everywhere (form screws to not properly put silicone around the bathtub). Good - Service is actually ok, friendly and smiled receptionists. Not so good - WiFi is terrible, we did NOT have WiFi all evening. Receptionists have to constantly reset their router. Good - Great location. Just perfect for walks in Central London. Not so good - Receptionists answer the phone with "Hello" !? I wasn't sure if I am calling the Cheshire Hotel or an individual. Then receptionist asked me to call them back in 10 minutes because he is busy serving food. Again ???. Good - Quite hotel, no noise, good sleep. Not so good - Apart from the fact I paid all in advance, I was asked for £200 further deposit on arrival. Then when leaving of course there was no WiFi. Eventually after another reset and half an hour wait all was fixed. Would I recommend it - I would despite the negatives. It is a good location and not expensive. But of course - you get what you pay for.
