Good 3 star hotel for Paris standards. Very quiet room at the back. Bit outdated here and there. Stayed in an appartment for €250 a night, I would say a set of fresh towels and cleaning should be included but its not. Large private terrace. Very friendly service. Parking €25 a day. Kitchenette without modern (cup based) coffee maker. But coffee is free downstairs so no worries there.

I stayed at Citadines Republique in October 2023. Overall a poor experience. The location of the hotel is fine, it's a lively neighborhood with lots of restaurants and bars. It's not super central in Paris but you know this going into your booking. We ran into several issues with our stay, first of all the window of our room did not close - allowing in air and noise all day and night. The receptionist tried to help us close the window, unsuccessfully, and told us we could not change rooms that evening. We were able to move to a new room the following day (only after a lot of back and forth with reception), where at least the windows and doors all closed fully. They only clean the rooms once a week and the cleanliness standard is low. There were several bugs in our room at various moments (see pictures) - I can understand one spider once in a while, but we had several. We shared feedback with reception, but continually were told we had to speak to the "chef de reception" who either wasn't there or was "in a meeting." We eventually managed to speak to him on the phone after several requests, but like the receptionists he was unapologetic. We had some personal issues going on during our stay, which were not their fault at all, but an opportunity for them to show good service and be empathetic with us. Unfortunately they did not take the opportunity. It's not an expensive hotel - you get what you pay for! If you can afford it, stay elsewhere.

Stayed in a one bedroom appartment on the first floor. It was outdated, the sofa bed was heavily stained, floor dirty, bad smell. Fairly quiet though. The front desk staff is plainly rude, unsmiling, unwelcoming. Breakfast is a buffet of very low quality stuff. If you stay there in the summer be advised that there is no air conditioning. Overall it’s similar to an outdated 3 star hotel.

At a relatively modest cost, Citadines Republique offers a more spacious layout than many comparable Parisian hotels. The tradeoff is that the room is only cleaned and refreshed once during a stay and, if you drop something, you might still notice a bit of dust under the bed. The lavatory is separate from the toilet and both have new fixtures. I was concerned, however, that the shower, which requires a high step in, was not equipped with a secure grab bar for safety. This is a potentially dangerous situation that should be remedied before someone is badly hurt. Situated a block from the Metro and around the corner from bakeries and markets, the location is convenient. The little kitchenette makes it possible to put together snacks or easy meals when you prefer not to go to a restaurant. This hotel is a good place to stay if your objective is to find a comfortable base from which to get out and enjoy Paris.

I'll break it down a bit more below, but overall pretty pleased with my 2 week stay. Location is great- tons of bakeries nearby (well really all types of restaurants, but like 3 bakeries within a block), and multiple metro lines close by. No AC though, so keep it in mind if you're staying during the summer and maybe open the window. There was a fan in one of the closets. Friendly staff and comfy beds.
