The main reason we chose to stay at this hotel was because it has a covered parking for our rented car. In a city like Dubrovnik, this is GOLD! We (a party of 2 couples) booked to stay at 2 different rooms; a Junior Suite and a Senior Suite. The price we paid was very reasonable. Both the suites were incredibly spacious, very modern and comfortable. However, we were a bit shocked that the Junior Suite doesn’t even have any coffee/tea-making facility. We had stayed at another hotel in the same area at the start of our trip in Dubrovnik, but it was nothing compared to City Hotel in terms of value for money. We paid more for that hotel for a room much smaller than these suites. We can highly recommend City Hotel to others visiting Dubrovnik. It’s in a nice area – away from the chaos of the Old City, but still easily accessible by Uber/local buses. You can easily walk to the hotel if you take the airport shuttle bus. Just ask the driver to stop in front of Tommy Supermarket. From there, it’s just a short walk to the hotel.

Staff were incredibly friendly. We walked up to the front desk at about 9pm to book a room and this was no trouble at all. The room was luxurious. But the best part was the incredible room service we received from their attached restaurant - delicious!! Can’t comment on the location as we checked in so late and checked out early.

Book this hotel! Amazing location, easy to get to Old Town, cozy spacious rooms. Super affordable for the location and the newness of this hotel. Read more details below: We loved this hotel! We were here for two nights on our honeymoon. Has covered parking for a cheap rate which was crucial because we had a rental car. Location: super close to Old Town. We navigated the bus (#6) that took you right to Pile Gate, which is the entrance into old town/city walls. You could walk, but we found the bus system super east to use and it came frequently. Super close to the bay to walk around at night. The area felt really safe as it felt more like a neighborhood with apartments and schools near by. Great location for the price! Hotel: we were greeted so kindly every time we went to the reception desk to ask a question. Very informative and super kind! The hotel looks very new and very posh. It was easy to find the reception from the covered parking as they had a lot of east readable signs. Hotel room: super spacious for 2 people with some open floor space which can be hard to find in a hotel for 2 people with 2 large suite cases. Super large balcony (we paid the little extra for this perk). Had a mini fridge which was helpful because we had brought some groceries, wine, and beer over from Montenegro on our drive. The room was super clean, had a wonderful lighting in the bathroom which is hard to find. Very cozy room! Breakfast: breakfast wasn’t included, but we did utilize this as we needed something nutritious before our longer days.

We went here for a family meal after a visit to the Red War museum. The service was generally unfriendly, the food was poor with stale and inedible gnocchi and the fries on my daughters plate had been fried until no potato existed! They clearly wanted us in and out and the prices were high. So far, by far the worst dining experience in Dubrovnik and Montenegro. Shame, it looked promising. Don’t normally leave reviews unless very bad or outstanding .
