After reading the previous reviews on this hotel, I was hesitant. We came in for a Memorial Service and this was a ideal location. The hotel is dated for sure, but other than that it's a very nice hotel. The rooms were clean and the staff was very friendly. They had a great breakfast each morning. I would definitely stay here again if in this area.

I have stayed at many Choice Properties and this one was disappointing. We stayed here years ago when they changed over from Ramada Inn and the hotel was decent. We stayed again Oct 6 for one night and this time was different. The service was great and so was the breakfast. The problem is the condition of the hotel itself. Everything was old and dirty. Even the cleanliness of the room was not good. Dirty carpets, peeling paint, mold in the shower, pubes on the bathroom floor, etc. These rooms are suppose to be inspected by the head housekeeper before being rented out. They also need a security guard to watch over the exterior. People hanging out partying in the parking lot late hours and other happenings. This is a shame for the hotel because the location is very convenient. With a lot of remodeling and proper training on cleaning this hotel has a lot of potential. I hope they do something to correct the problem.

In December 2023, the showers are cold on the hottest setting. The rooms start out freezing, and the ancient heater couldn't warm up the room until 2AM. If you like the cold, don't mind the dirt/dinge, and just need a cheap stopover, this place is *absolutely* the right hotel for you. The reviews don't lie: this place is somehow simultaneously one and five stars at the same time.

First time staying at a comfort inn. I stayed in similar style hotels but never comfort inn…and I never will again. The carpet was mentioned a lot in other reviews for a reason, they do NOT clean them. I wore white socks to walk around in and by the end of the day they were gray. The room and hallways smell of mildew, the drain in the tub doesn’t drain well, rusted bars, the toilet wasn’t scrubbed well, the curtains had a million stains on them and so did the comforters. The air the AC spat out smelled funny and it was covered in grime. I didn’t want to touch anything I didn’t have to. The only pro was that the staff is very friendly and there is a mini fridge. I didn’t use the pool or go to breakfast but I hear they’re nice. I feel bad for the staff because I can only imagine how many complaints they get and corporate won’t help out.

A super convenient place to stay if you're visiting folks in the Penn Hills area. I have family in Verona and this is the closest place you can get. It's perfect it's only a 10 minute drive to verona. The rooms and the beds are fine in fact the beds are the best part of the whole room they're super comfortable and so are the pillows. The only points taken off in my opinion are for the fitness facility if you can call it that there's four machines in it and the two treadmills are directly under a severely bulging, moldy ceiling, at the point you're afraid that you're just going to be walking and breathing in mold spores the whole time. I pretty much had no choice since it was below freezing outside and I had to get some walking in because I'm recovering from a knee replacement. I just kept it a brief 5 minutes.
