Let's start with the good. The rooms are a great size for European standards. Very clean and properly maintained. The location is also very good especially if it's your first time to London. In general London is easy to get around with the underground but the hotel location helps further as it's almost in the middle of the city. Before I say what the issue I faced is, I want to be clear that the staff were all very friendly and polite throughout the whole stay. Now, for what I didn't like. During check-in,I was told that an amount had to be blocked over the rate for an extras. £50 a night. I said no need and even asked them to empty the minibar but they insisted stating it's the hotel policy. My friend checking in at the same time was blocked £100 per night. No consistency in the policy. Then at check out, I found an extra £17 per night extra as a service charge. Which was a surprise to me since when I booked the rate said includes taxes and fees. Again the staff were very professional and polite. It would have been better if I was told at check in that there is an extra service fee and clearer in why a block is required. Would this experience stop me from staying at this hotel again, probably not if I'm honest, the room sizes, cleanliness, and location is worth it. Note: no idea about the breakfast didn't try it.

Absolutely sublime and subtle hotel. All very understated and minimal. Easily one of the best hotels in the UK, with simply amazing staff for whom nothing is too much trouble.

We booked a meeting room with lunch, kind of last minute (few days ahead only), and the place, particularly Angela was very supportive to arrange everything, we were still able to ask for cooked dishes, the room was absolutely perfect for a lunch combined meeting, and the room service, too. Can only recommend, excellet choice for business meetings!

I have checked in few days ago as per my booking I have paid for 29m room size,they checked me in on a small room and asked me to pay £120 per night to get the room I have already purchased. My stay is 2 rooms for 9 nights 9×120= £1080x2 £2160 Saying that they have agreed to change my room on a specific date and they never met their promise. Very disappointed wont recommend it to anyone. Me personally regrets staying here.
