Courtyard by Marriott Columbus Worthington

Do NOT stay at this hotel! No security, no cameras, no care, no response! 600 miles from home! Window to my truck was shattered, wallet stolen and the hotel staff could have cared less! There were 3 other cars broken into the same night and absolutely zero concern from the staff.

WARNING ..Avoid this place. Marriott should be ashamed to have their name on this building/ business. Read the reviews. There have been multiple car break ins and robberies a d we were a victim this past week. Our truck and o e other were vandalized, broken in to and we had valuable personal items stolen. We stopped in Columbus Ohio on our way to a hunting destination in Illinois. Arrived 11 pm and at 6am next morning found our window broken and the truck cleaned out. We lost 4 valuable shotguns one of which was my first hunting gun given to me by my dad 50 yrs ago.. priceless. One may ask why did you leave them in the car? Well we were in front in the parking lot. The guns were all covered upon not in sight. The other truck was in handicap spot right in front few geet front the front door. Interesting no one heard anything. Come to find out there have been multiple break ins in recent weeks. At least 13 reported ( Google it) . They have no cameras, there were no signs warning of the events or advising not to leave valuables in your vehicle due to recent activities. The Staff was very " matter of fact" when we discovered the vehicle was broken into and stated " yeah it happens a few times every couple of weeks or so." I searched the other nearby hotels and none have the same issue but one comment of the other hotels was they were advised by signs to not leave valuablesin your vehicle. There's no security and the police are aware. Despite repeated robberies nothing has been done by Marriott. One has to wonder if there's a connection with employees and the thieves. It continues. Also we discovered this at 6 am. The Manger was not in yet. We left a message with his VM and the staff also left the information and to date he has not returned our calls.
