We had a very pleasant stay in the hotel generally. The facilities were well taken care of and the staff was very helpful. We booked our day trips from the hotel as well. The Guest Consultant, Nesim Hallak was exceptional in rendering his services and went above and beyond in his care and services for us. Apart from some things such as the housekeeping not replenishing water daily and not attending to our calls for sending over floor mat for bathroom when requested, everything else was fine. We would stay here again if necessary.

I would give zero stars. I was recently guests at the Crown Plaza Old City IHG Istanbul Hotel for 5 nights. Is not my first time in Istanbul a city that I loved but this time I did a research before deciding where to stay and chose your hotel as it is well presented and in a good location with plenty of good feedback about. My room number4109 a which is facing the main busy road end up being a nightmare since the first night. Extremely noise during the day which I can accept as the room is old and doesn’t have double glass but extremely extremely noisy during the all hours of the night. Between midnight and 4am. As you might be aware there’s some road works happening on that road during the night, and is impossible to whoever is staying in a room that faces that side, sleep. I was private from my sleep during that 5 nights specially the last night. I recorded and attached I will send you the videos where you can hear how noisy was and you can see the time what occurred as well. As I came to rest and spend a nice time of holidays being private of my sleep destroyed all the concepts of my holidays and my mental health affected as I couldn’t sleep properly. I don’t think is fair that I have to sleep during the day and not be able to rest during the night as everyone. Even that road works are obviously not your fault as a 5 star hotel you should completely avoid fill that rooms where customers with have the worst time of their life’s. Would be important to invest in double face glass windows too to prevent this situations as apparently road works are permissible during all night. I would like to end up this email informing you about the excellent professionals that work at the hotel always smiling and approachable. After exposing this situation to the management team there refuse to refund me ending with a kindly apology. When everyone online is complaining about the same. Disgusting and shame on you. Never again.

I recently stayed here with my wife as it was her birthday. Firstly, the shower door in our room was broken, though they did kindly put us in another room. The main issue was the noise which lasted for 3 consecutive nights which meant that we couldn’t get a peaceful night of sleep. Upon departure, the on duty manager informed us that when we returned they would upgrade our room for no extra charge. However, as soon we returned home, they stopped responding to our correspondences. It was then that I had to escalate the matter to the regional managing director that I started to get a response. The worse was yet to come as they informed me that they would only compensate us 1 night rather than the entire 3 nights which our stay was disrupted. Overall, I would avoid staying here

The most disappointing experience. I had booked to stay 4 nights, the first night we noticed the sheets were torn, I just couldn’t believe it, so I took a picture and showed it to the manager and they upgraded us to a suite. Our Breakfast was not included in our stay, so paid for it extra but when we came for breakfast most of the item I had asked for was finished. Pancake but no maple syrup, they ran out of soy milk, they ran out of Turkish tea..and I can go on..not sure why we have to pay 19 euros for nothing being served. Utter disappointment!! However, I would like to give a big shoutout to all the staff employed at this hotel, they have been absolutely helpful. They go above and beyond to accommodate your needs.
