I used to work there decades ago when it was the Holiday Inn West Hotel. Brought back memories. The only issue that me and my wife had was that the microwave was shooting sparks when you turned it on. We informed the front desk staff about the microwave issue. We waited for about 2 hours for the maintenance staff to replace the microwave. I called the front desk staff again, only to find out that the maintenance staff was not on the property. He was in route riding a bike, wow!! I think he could tell from the sound of my voice that I was very upset. My wife and I were very thankful to Jehovah, our heavenly father, for being there for us. The staff was very professional in solving the issue by relocating us to another room. He apologized for the inconvenience, very friendly. Even though the first room was great, other than the microwave issue, the second room was better. Again, the location is convenient, and the staff was very friendly and professional, but the hotel needs more improvements to be more successful. We left with a smile because this was a family visit, and it was wonderful.

Not easy to find the entrance to this hotel from Hillsborough Rd. You go to the lobby which is just a small foyer and turn to your left to speak to someone about your room. I had to drive around the building to get to my room. The bathtub/shower was replaced recently. The door is not flush so the cold or heat gets in. Breakfast here is a to go bag. Cold items like fruit and muffins. Surestay down the road has a complete hot breakfast for a similar price. The air-conditioned/heating unit has filters that have not been cleaned since who knows when. The a/c heating unit appears to generate heat. The hotel is located near the college, medical centers and other attractions.

This place was disgusting. I am a business executive and have stayed in many hotels but this one was the worst. I stayed here because it was convenient to I-85 and where I was going. These pictures are just a small list of the issues. The piece of soap in the room was the size of a half dollar. I'm grateful I had soap from the last hotel. Never again.

This is the worst Crack Motel I have ever stayed in! I get there to rent a room for my Grandmother, who has early stage dementia, and her caregiver (my Uncle) to stay in for a few nights. The location was good because we had appointments at Duke. The front desk lady was rude and not very accommodating. They put us in a room that had not been cleaned yet so we left and went and got a little groceries and some fast food. Come back, and begin to chill and I fell asleep for a little bit. I wake up and then notice how disgusting everything is still. There is no soap, shampoo, or towels. In the bathroom everything is broken. Then to top it all off, BUGS in the room!!!!! I call the front desk to complain and to request my money back and she says “Why are you just telling us this now at 9pm”. Are you kidding me???? That is not good customer service. She also told me to come get my own towels from the lobby. $100/night and this is what we got! 🤦🏽‍♀️ I am including pictures. Notice the bed in the background and how it looks sleeped in. Thats when we first got there and how we knew the room hadnt been cleaned. Also, when we was out getting food the cleaning lady stole a bottle of my Grandmother’s meds!!!!!
