Dean's Home Budapest

Location is okay, not near the city centre, but only 3 mins walk from the nearest metro, so no problem. Near the hotel there are a few food shops, a couple of supermarkets, so that’s nice. Apparently this hotel is also a student’s accomodation, so you might see a lot of students, but this was not a party hotel or something like that. We stayed here for 3 nights for 240€, and we think for the quite reasonable price, the room was good, not that noisy. Bed was great, bathroom was clean. People in receptionist and the restaurant were very friendly. Breakfast was also great.

A great hotel for a impressive price. Dean’s Home is a great hotel for an independent traveler or a couple ready to explore Budapest. The rooms are equipped with a very convenient small kitchen containing a small fridge and freezer, a sink, a two hob stove, a microwave oven and all necessary cutlery, cups and crockery. The bedroom is absolutely huge with high ceilings and generous amounts of storage. The beds are very large and comfortable with two pillows and two individual duvets, great for couples. The bedroom comes with two bedside tables and lamps, plenty of plugs, a safe, coat hangers in the large wardrobes, large windows that open with pull down blinds, and wooden floors. The air conditioning in the room was really great, especially as the weather was very warm when we stayed in late September. The bathroom was very clean had a spacious shower with good pressure; plenty of towels, soap built into dispensers and a powerful hairdryer. My only negatives about the rooms is that there is no TV’s in the room which could have been a nice touch for entertainment in the evenings. I also wish there was a mirror in the bedroom so when couples are getting ready they don’t have to both share the mirror in the bathroom. What was also strange is that the room provided no kettle, including teas and coffees which is quite standard for a hotel room. However, the rest of the hotel is amazing and the staff are very friendly and check in is smooth and easy. The hotel also features some great facilities such as a laundry room, a games room, an upstairs bar terrace, toilets, a communal study room and kitchen, and outside courtyard that includes their own restaurant. Shops are nearby and it is around a 30 minute walk from centre, which we found was fine. I have to mention as well how kind the staff were to leave us a box of chocolates as it was me and my girlfriend’s anniversary, thank you so much! Highly recommend staying here if you are visiting Budapest! 😸
