Deluxe Inn

Communication was awful. I was about to check-in but they gave up my room for someone else because they claim that I didn’t show up even though I called earlier in the morning saying I will be late because my flight got delayed. They also claimed my credit card got declined but didn’t notify me prior to our arrival (The reservation was booked in March). I was already calm about the situation and said it’s okay but then the receptionist opened his mouth blaming me for the situation because I “failed” to contact them. Keep in mind this was at 1 am and he was barely apologetic, another guest had to tell him to accommodate us and that says a lot about his work ethic. This all happened at 1 am on November 5th.

I stayed at this motel for four nights, because the hotel that I normally stay at was booked. The TV in my room would not work reliably and even after four contacts with staff they could not get it to work properly. One morning on my way out. I mentioned the TV situation to the desk clerk but when I returned at the end of the day, nothing was done about it so obviously she forgot. There are zero amenities at this hotel, not even vending machines for soft drinks or snacks. There was an ice machine at the end of the hall. There was no coffee or any breakfast provided... No marks off for that because I knew that before I booked, But you would think it's not a big deal for the hotel to provide coffee for guests. Paradoxically, my room was made up every day, although in the post-COVID era, even major hotels do not make up your room during multi-day stays. Bath soaps and shampoo were provided. But in wrapping, that was impossible to open without using your teeth and getting a mouthful of shampoo. The electrical outlets that I could access in the room were all worn out to the point that the plugs on my devices would not make reliable contact. At the desk in the room, there was no outlet for a computer, power supply or phone charger. There was an oversized couch in the room which effectively blocked the outlet from the air conditioner. From a security perspective, there was nothing on the door except the lock there was no flip bar to prevent force entry. The one positive about the motel is Location which is near several shopping outlets stores restaurants and major highways. I doubt I would stay at this property again.
