They deleted my previous review so I am resosting it here. A very disappointing stay for a hotel that holds itself out as a 5 star hotel. Stayed there for three nights and we have the following concerns: 1. The room temperature is constantly hovering around 25 degree celsius, which is hot and stuffy. When complained to the hotel staff they said there was NO WAY TO MAKE THE ROOM COOLER and we just needed to make do and accept the hot, stuffy room. Found it very hard to sleep at night and didn't rest well. 2. There is no gym or any fitness facilities in the hotel. When asked the staff politely told me there is a nice park nearby that I could go for a run. I politely responded saying that I had Google map on my phone and could see that. 3. There is no tea or coffee in the room, which is strange for somewhere that claims to be a 5 star hotel. When asked whether we can get some tea or coffee the hotel staff responded saying we can but they would need to charge us €5 for a coffee/tea and another €10 for room service. 4. The breakfast included did not come with hot food. Although the pastries, sandwiches and charcuterie were delicious, there were no hot food options. Not even scrambled eggs or fried eggs. The staff said they can make scrambled eggs for us but they would need to charge extra for that. I can't recall the last time a 5 star hotel breakfast does not come with cooked egg in some form. 5. The location is so so. It is easy to get to from the airport but it is a good 15-20 mins walk away from the city centre and the main attractions. Not a dealbreaker but be prepared to walk to all the main attractions. Having said the above, the staff are generally friendly and the environment is pretty nice. It's an impressive conversion from an old nobleman's home. However, I would avoid this hotel if the above matter to you.

The interior designs of the rooms are impeccable, and spot on. Beautiful view of the garden and Florence. Note the bed is on the firmer side. Only thing I wasn’t very pleased with was the water strength of the shower head. Customer service provided by Gabriel was great, and all the rest of the staff were lovely! The baristas also make an amazing ice Americana which my partner is an absolute fan of! They are very accommodative with my late check out at 1pm despite busy period. Only thing is the location of the hotel, is a little far off the city 7mins walk. I wouldn’t mind the walk, but definitely not in the simmering heat of summer of 37 degree Celsius.
