Great location for castle, lyceum theater and town all easy walking. No car park at hotel but there is a drop off point and the castle car park is 300 yards away but get your ticket verified at the hotel desk as it is £35 overnight. The restaurant is in the bar which is a nice facility but limited in capacity so book early. Breakfast is excellent and provided in a dedicated area as a buffet. Rooms can be small or very large on the same floor and of the same standard as the hotel is has an interesting layout in some areas. Service is generally very good with the staff cheerful and helpful. However they do get very busy so room service can be a little slow at times. Despite there being more luxurious hotels in town this is my favorite as overall it ticks lots of boxes.

This is one of the best Hiltons we’ve stayed in to date!! We booked 5 nights via points and it really paid to be a Hilton Diamond member. We were upgraded to a castle view and it was *incredible*, and Diamond level came with daily free drinks in the hotel bar and daily free breakfast. Every employee was nicer than the next, the breakfast was delicious and had everything you needed, and the hotel was in a great location. Everything was easy to walk to. We can’t wait to stay here again!

Had a weekend break here on 1 to 3 December 2023. Room was great, breakfast really good with plenty of everything hot and cold. Just 3 stops on the bus from train station. Really quiet at night and an great bar tender who knows how to make great cocktails the way they were intended. Highly recommend.

Such A lovely gem. Great customer service from staff. I must say i do love the old buildings around the hotel, the architecture and the castle not far away.. Bring your walking shoes as there are a lot of hills to walk around the city. i think the hi-light of Edinbrough are the people where everyine is friendly and have smiles. Thank you for your service and comfortable stay. ❤
