Much better than the newer Hyatt. Better location, better staff (especially the woman at the gift shop/gym). Great door man and exec lounge. Rooms are a little dated and the one next to the elevator could be noisy but I am positive if I told them they would have moved me. As a diamond member they upgraded me twice. Breakfast buffet is the one area I would have spent a little more time on improving. Overall still 5 star, glad I canceled my last three nights at the Hyatt for this place.

The staff was amazing and got to know you and would give you recommendations for both Lima and other cities in Peru you may be traveling to. Everyone had a level of English speaking ability that really helped. For a 5 star hotel, everything was extremely affordable. 4 cocktails, a beer, and a personal pizza were around 170 sols... in the US at a 5 star Hilton, it would have been closer $170 USD.

Great location, nice lobby, and very safe. The Front desk staff is horrible, they need to be replaced or trained to make the hotel experience better. They are either arrogant and nonchalant. Restaurant and front door staff are excellent 5 star. One elevator is broken and no sign, so we kept wasting our time getting inside. Our room 1020 was large and we appreciate the upgrade, but there was an intermittent rotten sewer smell from bad venting in old pipes. Maintenance never showed and we told the young lady and man at the front desk 4 times. We are both Diamond and value Hilton, so I hope they improve small issues or we stay at JW Marriott Bonvoy next time.
