Dubai International Hotel inside the International Terminal complex is the best place to rest if you have a long layover at Dubai. Yes it is a bit expensive if compared to any regular hotel but its inside the airport that means you dont have to worry about transit visa, immigration and security check-ins. The hotel charges based on duration of stay. For 6 hrs they charge around $150, similarly for 8 hrs, 12 hrs and above they have various charges. The rooms are well kept nothing less than any upscale 4/5 star hotel rooms. They provide all basic amenities in room like enough packaged drinking water for 2 people, coffee makers etc. For quick rest and sleep this is highly recommended, better than the pods.

Better to do walk-in instead of booking online. I booked two rooms online and when we got to the counter they told me we had to pay for a 24-hour stay because of the online booking so that came out to 300USD for a 7-hour stay. Just walk in so you can be flexible about your booking. The counter can’t help you otherwise if plans change.

Room: clean, good, but old style. I like modern more but it is a matter of preference. They have carpet at the bedroom and i am not a fan of carpets cos fuzzy and i have a very sensitive of mites. But my allergic not reacts on the carpet so meaning it is clean. It just if i have option to use no carpet, i would want that. Basic amenities, clean bathroom, nothing fabulous for the bathroom, but good enough Decoration style is not modern style. Still have big marbles old style. Service: I booked this because my connecting flight another 7 hours. I asked dubai connect to help me booked but when arrive, the receptionist said need to revise cos some issue. Mind you, it is 3 am. I am so sleepy and the need to do extra revise is not in favor. I wish they can do better on this. Other than that, they are accomodative for invoice request that i forgot to ask when i already inside flight and plan to take off. Location: Is very good, inside airport, immediately if you go down many shopping retail shop but if your flight is in another terminal, it takes tremendous time to go to the gate. So time it because train is needed to go other terminal for boarding gate. My gate is C.
