it is a very mixed emotions since I know the staffs are trying their best after we raised questions. Nevertheless, it’s still a disappointing experience, considering it’s not a cheap hotel. First of all, it’s very dusty in the room. You can see and feel the dust on desk, on toilet lid, on TV remote controllers etc. we visited in low season so probably the room is not occupied for a while, but I still expect the room can be cleaned when we checked in. Secondly, and it’s the most upset part is we found an empty coffee mate (with a hole on lid) in the amenity tray. After taking picture and showing it, the staff apologized and promised they would check again next day. When we went back to the room on next day, unfortunately we found another opened coffee mate in the try (again!) For me it’s a serious sanitary issue in this hotel. Again, it’s not a cheap hotel and I don’t think asking a clean room or amenities without being used is a crazy request or too demanding but unfortunately we didn’t have it during the stay. Nevertheless, the location is superb that you can see the blue dome easily. And the restaurants recommended by the concierge are nice. Really mixed feeling but I would still not recommend to go…

This place is absolutely perfect! From the moment we arrived until the minute we left, we were treated with kindness and respect. The hotel helped get us a driver from the ferry. When we arrived, a porter was waiting to take our luggage. The man at reception was helpful and informative. The room was a dream come true. The hot tubs were great. (Try to get a room at the bottom. While it’s more walking and steep stairs, there is less foot traffic and you will have more privacy.) The morning breakfast delivered to our room was delicious. The response time on WhatsApp was quick (and I used it a lot to ask questions and get advice.) The hotel arranged transportation to the airport and the porters came to take our bags on time. My only complaint, and I still give this place 5 stars, is that there are steep stairs that we weren’t warned about. I should have figured given the location so I can’t blame the resort for that. My only advice is that it’s clear on their website that people with mobility issues will have a hard time staying there.

If I could give this hotel zero stars I would. The service is AWFUL. The floors are so dangerous when wet. You need to be careful or you will hurt yourself. My toilet seat was cracked, the hand towel holder wasn’t working. A complete mess. The worst part….this hotel and the transport company they use is the reason why I missed my flight. Someone was supposed to pick me up at 530. They only arrived at 618!!!!! No one took accountability and due to that I had to spend $400 on a new ticket. All I got was a “sorry”. Completely unacceptable. PLEASE stay away from this hotel. There are so many other nice hotels near by. You’ll be wasting your money and time on these people.

I highly recommend this boutique hotel and you won’t be disappointed. The staff at Ducato made our stay at their beautiful property so peaceful and stress-free right from the start. They arranged our transfer from the Santorini airport where the driver met us and then a porter met us at the drop-off area in Oia where he carried our luggage down numerous steps into their property. Our unique room was perfect with it’s own private heated plunge pool overlooking the caldera along side a tanning day bed to absorb direct sun all day. The surrounding area is the picturesque views you see in Santorini advertisements and you won’t need to leave the property (or line up) for your Instagram photos. It was so nice to be away from the craziness of the Main Street of Oia into our own quiet private oasis. The central location is perfect and walking distance to all major areas of Oia. Our stay included daily breakfast that was plentiful and individualized to your own selections from a large menu. They cleaned our room daily which included new towels for the pool. Everyone greeted us daily and asked us if there is anything we needed. We hope to come back in the future to relax in this property again. “Efcharisto” Ducato di Oia!
