The Else have "nailed it" in just about every way. Incredible rooms, brilliant food, and a super friendly and helpful staff. While most tourists to KL don't seem to opt to stay in a newly revitalized Chinatown, they definitely should and they should base out of the Else. To really drive a point home - when traveling to explore a new city - the goal is not usually take a ton of meals at the hotel you are staying at. The Else made this super difficult as their food is outstanding. Their breakfasts are enormous (this coming from an American - on some days we couldn't finish them) and are really delicious. They include a ton of options to suit Asian and Western tastes alike. Their bar/restaurant on floor 4 is also fantastic if you are looking for a modern spin on Malaysian and non-Malaysian offerings. This newly rehabbed bldg is thoughtfully re-designed, the rooms are incredibly well laid out and modern, the atmosphere is peaceful and air conditioned, and their pool offers incredible views. While it may confound highly trained lap swimmers its not impossible to grab a workout (although not recommended at around 13 meters). Their gym is the spot to go for a workout and their library is a spot to relax and chill. 5 Stars all around for this newish property and continued success for all those involved in running and managing the Else.

I fell in love with the hotel from the first moment. It has a great aura and so were the two days with a 100% feel-good factor. Great rooms, cozy and luxurious, the food is very tasty and the staff is attentive, friendly and personable. Thanks to the Else Team - Excellent service as Hyatt Lifetime

Amazing small elegant and classy hotel. Piece of luxury, very high standard. Pool and pool area was amazing, gorgeous view! Hotel room was so cozy and service brilliant - they always looked after you. Restaurant food was very delicious - wine was bit pricey, so had beer instead. Otherwise location of hotel is superb- everything is close by. I would visit again.

A+ experience with this hotel. Staff were extremely friendly. Choose this hotel for our honeymoon and it was one of the best decision. The hospitality was top notch. The manager, receptionist, concierge, housekeeper, everyone were helpful. Love our experience at this hotel. The room *chef kiss*. Call the receptionist for any help and they will come within 5 mins. The breakfast theme was like fine dining. Definitely will come back. The only thing that bothered us was parking. But the receptionist will advice which one is the best price and secured among 3 nearby choices.

Best decision ever was to place a booking at this hotel during my recent 2 nights stay at Kuala Lumpur. From the moment we stepped into the hotel, I can feel the warmt of the staff from the vibrant smiles they gave to the friendly tone of their voices. The interior of the property is also very welcoming with tasteful art and decor being displayed all over. Location of Else KL is superb as it's just a stone throw away from the bustling Petaling Street market and less than 5 mins walk to the nearest LRT station, Pasar Seni (only a stop away from KL Sentral!). Despite its close proximity to the market, all you can hear is the peace and quiet when you enter the hotel. The room is spacious and clean, and nightly turn down service was thoughtful with different amenities provided each night. I love the small touches such as placing the bottled water by the bedside. Breakfast is very well made and presented, providing a great start to our day! I hardly make an effort to have hotel breakfast, but this is one breakfast I anticipate and it did not disappoint. Overall, staying at Else KL is THE highlight of my trip and I look forward to my next stay.
