The location was excellent, the room was spacious and clean, and the bed very comfortable. However, the breakfast was disappointing, specifically the coffee. There were two coffee machines but both machines made horrendous coffee. I strongly suggest you invest in a better coffee machine.

I wasn’t happy with our stay. Our curtain was broken and I asked for it to be fixed twice, no one fixed it - there was so much light coming into our room from it, it was hard to sleep during the day. The seal of the door was also broken and was hard to shut the door - no one fixed this as well. I was also disappointed in how much maintenance work was going on in the hotel, the noise of hammers and drills would start anywhere from 9am. I was super sick while I stayed there and wasn’t able to sleep through the day due to all the noise. They did help me speak to a doctor which was really nice of them, so appreciated that. We won’t be staying here again, neither will any of our other friends who also stayed. They all complained about the maintenance noises. Just make sure there isn't maintenance work going on cause the hotel's excuse is, it's next door. It never stated anywhere that this would be happening.

Spent one night here during the business trip to Spain. Central location near to the famous La Rambla. The room was very tidy and clean, with all necessary ammenities, and enough space. It had a good isolation so it was quiet at night, even though it was facing the street. Quick and easy check in/check out process. The staff was correct. Decent breakfast, good coffee. Value for money. Would choose it again.

Good location but disappointing hotel. Rooms facing a noisy inner square with no privacy. Residents from other hotels are looking into your room. You cannot open the windows to ventilate the room. The level of cleanliness is average and there is a bad smell of cheap perfume in the room and bedding. Although there is a shower with a jacuzzi, the water flow is weak and the bathtub does not meet expectations. The hotel does not deserve 4 stars and does not justify its price. I will spend many times in Barcelona. There are better options nearby

We had a terrible experience in Exe Plaza Catalunya. The staff was very rude and not helpful at all. After we entered our room, we told the receptionist that our room wasn’t a double room as requested. He told us “it depends on availability” so even though we booked a double room we had to stay at a room with a twin bed. They should have reserved as a double room. I’ve never seen such a treatment. Secondly, the AC in our room did not work. When we reported the issue to the receptionist, she decided to give us an introduction to AC class and told us how AC’s work as if we have never seen an AC before. During our stay of 3 days they did not fix any of these problems. So we had to stay in an allegedly 4-star hotel room that didn’t have an AC in the middle of summer. And in our second day, while we were in our room, housekeeping suddenly entered the room. I told her to give us 5 minutes to leave the room for cleaning. But instead of leaving she just stayed there staring at me and then she checked her phone and told me “you should not be in the room according to my phone”. It wasn’t even the day that we were checking out. The only good part about this hotel is the location, but in this price range you can find a much better hotel in the same neighbourhood.
