We stayed here for 1 night and arrived around 10pm coming from the airport. The street the hotel is on a very sketchy area with a lot of homeless tents on the other side of the street. Our booking was moved from another hotel so I think because of the move we didn't have check in instructions and were outside on the street trying to get into the building. Didn't feel overly safe. The room was clean and comfortable so no complaints. On checkout we were able to store our luggage easily too. Whilst the hotel is nice, I wouldn't return because of its location. I suspect the hotel we were supposed to stay at (opposite the street) may have closed because of it location.

I really enjoyed my cozy, clean & comfortable bunk room during my four day biz trip to SF. Location is a little edgy, but I never felt unsafe and it was very convenient to transit options. Next time, I'll request a room with a larger, outside facing window (for days when glued to the laptop). Otherwise, it was a great stay and I'll be back. Gonna miss my delicious morning latte from Ellis Cafe ☕️...

A friend and I booked a room for 3 nights over a weekend. When we walked in, the room was scorching hot due to a broken A/C unit. They offered us a box fan and said maintenance would stop by to look at the issue. Our last full day in town we reached out to staff again since no one had looked at the unit and the box fan wasn’t cooling us off like it should. A different staff member immediately came and looked at the unit, noting it was definitely broken but maintenance isn’t on-site during weekends. She gave us a new room for our last night, free of charge. I wish this was offered to us sooner, but we still appreciated the A/C our last night in San Francisco.

When we booked it there was a deal that was emailed to me. I thought it was a scam so I used my mom’s credit card to pay. Turns out, it was actually legit and we were only charged $35 a night! When we got there, we immediately regretted our decision. Homeless surrounded the area, some drunk dude getting pulled into an ambulance, and when we walked in, there wasn’t even anybody at the front desk. The rooms are too small even just for two, and the sink was OUTSIDE THE WASHROOM. Like come on, who does that. The coffee machine had little bugs in it, the bedsheets were stained, this place just sucked. Will be visiting San Francisco again for sure, but never coming back here.
