I recently had a 3 night stay at Hotel Gioberti. Upon arrival, the staff member on reception was friendly and welcoming. Checking in only took a few minutes, and I was directed to my room. The hotel is well located, it's right, Roma Termini, there's are really good public transport options, trams ,train and subway and buses. There are trains and coaches that take you straight to both airports at cheap rates. Regarding facilities at the hotel. My room was cleaned. The bed 🛌 wasn't great, it was too firm and although a double bed, it was just 2 single beds joined together so there was a dip where the beds joined. I can't say I slept well during my stay as I couldn't get comfortable. The bathroom 🚻 was clean,although small, and the toilet was crammed in the corner of bathroom making it difficult to use the toilet, I'm not a fat person bit I struggle to sit on the toilet. They should remove the bday and make more space for the toilet. Only last day ,when I awoke, there was no water running in the bathroom, so I was unable to shower before I left. I'd expect more from a 4-star 🌟 hotel. The breakfast options are good and you can eat as much as you want. Overall, I'd only give the hotel 3 stars as it was just ok, nothing special. Although well located and clean.

Really enjoyed our stay here. (6 days) we are used to larger rooms in the States, but these were fine. People were great, breakfast was first class.

It’s crazy that this place is advertised as a 4 star hotel. As soon as we walked in the hotel, I could smell cleaning supply chemicals, which made me feel like they were trying to cover something up. We got to our room and the chemical smell was worse in there, the carpets were stained, walls were stained, ceiling was damaged, shower was moldy. My husband and I contemplated on what to do since they had charged our card at check in. We wanted to go sit on the rooftop terrace before talking to the front desk and apparently the rooftop terrace is only open for breakfast, so that was disappointing. We went downstairs and told the front desk that our room was extremely dirty and they brought us to look at another room, which was the exact same way and also had a big hairball on the bed. The lady helping us asked us to stay in our original room for the night and they would move us the next day. I asked to cancel our reservation as we were on our honeymoon and we were not happy with staying in a place like this for our honeymoon and she said no because we already paid (which is also ridiculous because yes we paid, but we hadn’t stayed the night yet and the rooms were not as advertised. I know the staff has the ability to reverse a payment that was charged less than an hour prior). We didn’t know what else to do so we agreed to stay in our room for that night and we went out for the day. They had brought champagne to our room, which was definitely appreciated. They moved our room the next morning to another dirty room. I didn’t want to complain again so we sucked it up for the week but it was such a disappointing experience. The area around the hotel is not the greatest and doesn’t feel very safe, but it was conveniently located. The only plus was the free breakfast, which was average. I regret booking this hotel and would not recommend it unless all you’re looking for is somewhere to sleep at night.

If you are planning to use Metro, taxi, or train travel to navigate Rome then this hotel is perfect. It is literally across the street from Termini. That being said, the neighborhood is a little rough, eclectic, busy... dirty :'( The hotel, however, is very clean! The breakfast is well attended and the food is as good as it looks. The front desk staff is professional and courteous. I would stay here again.

I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Rome. The rooms are large. We had 3 single beds, 2 large windows that opened up to let the fresh air in, and a large bathroom/entrance way. The breakfast that is included is delicious with a variety of options, including fruit , meat, cheese, yougart, pancakes, bread, and pastries. The only thing we didn't like was that u had to ask the front desk for ice as they did not have an ice machine. The location is pretty great. The bus brought us from the airport to termini station and the hotel is literally across the street. There is lots to do in trimini station and the hotel is walking distance to the colosseum. It's a bit skidish at night time but other then that a great place to stay. Would not recommend eating at the restaurant on the corner of the street the hotel is on. It's not great at all.
